Animal communicator and healer.

Oh how lucky we are to have our animal companions. They’re not just pets, they’re our soul connections.

Animals don’t just come live with us, they have come to walk with us in our lives through every trial and tribulation. Many enter our lives as quiet volunteers, carrying a purpose bigger than we may ever realize. They ground us when we’re scattered, love us when we forget how to love ourselves, and hold space for our healing in ways words never could.

🐾 Dogs offer loyalty and protection.
🐾 Cats gently transmute the heavy energies we can’t release alone.
🐾 Birds lift our perspective, reminding us of lightness and freedom.
🐾 Horses reconnect us to strength, power, and the wild spirit within.
All animals come to us with a purpose, with a ‘job’.

Some even return to us after they’ve passed, their soul essence finding its way back, because the bond is eternal. Many times we have shared several lives together before this.

Through Animal Communication, I help you hear what your beloved companion has been trying to tell you. The deeper role they play in your life, the wisdom they carry, and the love they want you to feel. Many times they are misunderstood when they ‘misbehave’ or there may be other reasons for a change of behaviour.

Because our animals are not here by accident. They are mirrors, healers, teachers, and guides. Wrapped in fur, feathers, and hooves. The messages we receive from them through the sessions give us a better understanding and thus creating a much stronger bond.

If your heart feels called, let’s open the conversation with your soul friend through me.

If you’re having to use punishment so your dog can cope* in an environment (that you don’t need to visit), maybe you shouldn’t take them there

I went to an open garden evening tonight, they allow dogs a few evenings in the summer and it can be really busy with dogs. It’s a lovely environment to take a sociable dog and even dogs who need a bit of space can often cope well as there’s enough space to avoid having to let your dog meet and greet if they don’t want to and you can pick a quieter time to arrive. You can avoid the busy and narrow bits quite well and stick to quiet open areas. It’s not an ideal place to take a dog who is really struggling around other dogs though.

I saw several dogs with prongs and shock collars on tonight (both on each dog) walking in the really busy bits where dogs have to pass head to head in narrow spaces, in the places where you have the least space.

I cannot understand why you would take a dog to a busy place (that you don’t need to go to) if you have to use threat and discomfort to ensure they don’t react. It can’t be a fun or rewarding activity for the dog, it’s entirely for the human benefit and that makes me so sad. The dogs looked miserable too.

I can’t understand it at all, can anyone enlighten me?

* PS they aren’t coping, they’re just not reacting due to the fear of the consequence

This is an X-ray of a dog’s bent front leg. See that tiny white spec? That’s a microchip! It has migrated down the leg....far from where it was inserted, between the dog’s shoulders. This is actually quite common.....

When lost pets are scanned, the entire body SHOULD be scanned to catch any that have migrated. But, as an owner, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY AT THEIR YEARLY VET EXAM, to ask for a quick scan to make sure that: (1) the chip is still working, (2) the location of the chip is good, and (3) that the chip info is correct.

Remember microchips save lives and reunite families with their pet.... just have it checked regularly!

Trauma, abuse and instilling fear.

Took us a while to see it but glad we saw it.

You’ll need lots of love, patience and understanding with our pets. Scaring and instilling fear will only lead to more issues like PTSD along the way.

Imagine living in constant fear.

BEYOND CESAR MILLAN

20 YEARS LATER.....The following review was submitted to National Geographic by Dr. Andrew Luescher, DVM, Ph.D, DACVB (board-certified veterinary behaviorist).

Dr. Luescher, former director of the Purdue University Veterinary Behavior Clinic was asked to provide feedback on "Dog Whisperer" tapes prior to the show's airing.

In this letter to National Geographic (date unknown), Dr. Luescher writes,

"I think this series, if aired, would be a major embarrassment for National Geographic. It is not stimulating or thought-provoking, since none of the presented techniques are new. They are outdated and have long been abandoned by most responsible trainers, let alone behaviorists, as inappropriate and cruel. I very much hope National Geographic will pull the plug on this program."

Please read the entire letter (It's not long.) and share: http://beyondcesarmillan.weebly.com/andrew-luescher.html

This program and trainers who have mimicked the behavior seen in this program have done so much damage to the dog training industry, dogs, and the human-animal bond.

I have met and spoken to Dr. Luescher personally, and I share his sentiments, as do all other trainers in the evidence-based, best practice camp. Meanwhile, much of the unsuspecting public still looks to National Geographic as an authority and has no idea it has thrown science to the wind, at least in terms of dog behavior and training.

Being frantically chased is not play❌
You may have noticed this yourself. 👀....if play is allowed to get to that hyper, frantic play, signals are not given well, and not received well and that can lead to big issues.💥
Maybe you expect your dog to play with all other dogs.❓
Guess what ?
Dogs do not need to play with all other dogs, in fact it is healthy to be choosy with who they interact with.
Dogs have the right to consent to play or not.
Just because we wish them to play does not mean they consent.

Toys.
So many issues arise with dogs playing with their own toys around others they do not know.
They can be highly prized items. The simplest way to avoid issues is don't play with your dogs toy around other dogs you do not know and even if you DO know them caution is needed.
Many dogs do not like to share.

Pairing dogs with different play styles and energy can cause big problems.. A dog that constantly chases may not read the "cut off" signals given by the less energetic dog.

Always listen to the little voice inside....and if you are at all unsure, advocate and stop play, or don't allow it to even start.
