The Animal Doctors, Singapore

The Animal Doctors, Singapore "Helping You Every Step of The Way..." The Animal Doctors pride ourselves in providing the best possible care for our patients and clients.

Established in February 2008, The Animal Doctors is a small animal clinic owned and run by two good friends who met in university and who serendipitously found they both shared a passion for a high standard of care for all domestic animals. Our clinic is equipped with full in-house laboratory services, with on-site blood testing and diagnostics allowing us to arrive closer to a diagnosis with mini

mal delay. Our X-ray machine also provides a fast and efficient diagnosis for a plethora of medical conditions. In addition, we also offer ultrasound services to investigate the abdomen and thorax without the need for invasive surgery. Our surgical suite is also equipped with extensive anaesthetic continuous monitoring devices to ensure that your animal is kept safe under general anaesthesia. This, along with a wide range of surgical equipment, enables us the capability to perform a variety of soft tissue and occasional orthopaedic surgeries.

Cryptorchidism is typically diagnosed with a physical examination. If the testicle(s) are not palpable in the sc***um, the veterinarian would extend their examination to the groin and abdomen area. In cases of abdominal cryptorchidism, where the testicle may not be palpable, additional tools like radiographs, an abdominal ultrasound, or even exploratory surgery might be employed to locate it. The next step often involves the removal of the testicles (ie. desexing). Learn more about how we manage cryptorchidism!

Cryptorchidism, where one or both testicles fail to descend into the sc***um, poses risks for our furry companions. While the exact cause of this condition remains a mystery, it is theorised to be genetic in nature. 🧬

Here’s a cautionary note: Breeding dogs with cryptorchidism is not recommended, as it increases the likelihood of passing on this trait, and the risks associated with it.

We often associate lasers with high-power applications like cutting, which generate significant heat energy. Cold Laser Therapy utilises low-level, low-intensity laser light to target pain and inflammation with minimal heat production. While a tingling sensation may occur with prolonged exposure to a specific spot, it generally does not cause discomfort.

At The Animal Doctors, we use the MLS Laser Therapy Mphi, classified as a class 4 laser product, approved and deemed safe by the US FDA. 🔦💫

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from the TAD family! 🎉

As we gear up for the festive season, here's a little heads-up about our holiday plans! Since our clinic will be taking a 'paws' during the holiday season, please take note of our closures and the change in hours on certain dates too. If your pet decides to pull any holiday shenanigans (i.e., in case of any pet emergencies during these times), please contact the nearest emergency centre to you.

We're incredibly thankful for your trust and support throughout the year. Your pets keep us on our toes, and we love every moment of it! We will resume our regular operations on December 26, 2023, Tuesday, and January 2, 2024, Tuesday, respectively.

Merry Christmas and a 'fur-nomenal' New Year, everyone! Here's to a fantastic 2024! 🌟🥂
