We are back at Furs & Feathers Festival 2023 with PAssion Wave @ Sembawang!

There is also food and drinks for all hoomans to enjoy!

The event is FREE ENTRY for all! Pet owners who want to give the activities a try such as Paw-ddle, obstacle course or cycling with your dog can purchase the tickets at $10 only!

Keuh constantly throws a tantrum when he was in the cone. Eventually he learnt to get it off with while rubbing his head persistently against smth else. It probably will stay on for a day to a day and a half before he finally gets it off. And the naughty fella learnt to start hiding his cone after he gets it off. Forcing me to get 3 cones for him as he keeps hiding. I will find them eventually but he gets creative.

As the time came for the hard decision, I gave myself a week to say goodbye to him. And for those who loved him to come and say their goodbyes.

Thank you Xin Yi and for coming on his last night and prepared a all treats and rubbish buffet. Thank you .jpg for accompanying me on the trip to Vet Central to send him off.

It was really hard, I though 1 week was enough for me to say my goodbyes. But when the time comes for all the paperwork and the last act, I embarrassingly broke down totally when the time came to really let him go although I do know deep down its the right thing to do. Thank you Tricia for sticking w me through that.

Thank you team and Doctor Mikayla for the care of both Tutu and Keuh and making the whole process as humanize and comforting as possible. Also for wrapping him up nicely after the process was done. It is really well appreciated

Keuh will always be loved and remembered and I hope that you had the best of whatever is possible during your short time with me.

Keuh came to learn my habits on my sleeping hours and knows when to start making his nest by my pillow when it's time. - kinda touched but also gave me a big headache. As he tries to pull the duvet to make his nest, his sharp teeth started to tear through my sheets and the duvet itself. Kinda funny as I can't fault him for it. He started bringing food offerings to me on bed as well, felt loved but had to constantly clean my bedsheets 😂.

Boy also learnt fast as initially if I leave my room door open I have to block it up. But subsequently he somehow learnt that he is not supposed to leave the room and the invisible line formed where even if its left wide open he never left, though sometimes he tries to follow me when I am leaving but will stop and go back as I tell him off.

Keuh was also and lazy ass, he loves his green peas but never ever fished for them. Always waited for tutu to fish and he tries to see if there's any left over or extras that tutu gets out of the water.

Despite being the Alpha, he is hilariously timid especially when it comes to bathing. He becomes extremely vocal like he was sent to a slaughter house. Whereas Tutu has learnt to stay still while he's being bathed and gets his tail brushed and dried.

Due to his tumor - which causes a strong smell, his fellow new little brothers Haru, Taro and Chintu had a hard time accepting him. Apparently they tend to avoid 'sick' rats instinctively. Kudos to Keuh who constantly tried to make friends with them and approached humbly constantly until they accepted him. Alu was the first to accept, maybe because he was old and sick as well?

As his time was coming to an end, he eventually lost one eye to the tumor and that was when his health detoriated rapidly. It really became heart wrenching from then as he tries to continue to fight. I felt extremely guilty as I found it really hard to look at him as it was really bad. And I knew it was time for him to go. It was a logical but extremely tough decision that I had to make on his behalf but unfortunately it had to be done.

RIP my beloved Keuh

It took me awhile before I am able to post this.

To my boy who has been with me to many places

Sweet baby who was so strong fighting his illness all the way till the end.

Keuh was a adopted rattie that was rescued as a corridor pet, stuck in a cage with 6 other boys all sick with ringworm and neglected without care and medical attention. He came to Foster care and I was able to adopt him together with his brother Tutu.

He was initially shy with humans and disliked being picked up and cuddled until his Tutu died and he was all alone and got so stressed and lost 200g and self barbered after Tutu passed.

Keuh was a very empathic rat that knows how to provide comfort for the sick and dying, always sticking by them and refused to leave when Tutu and Alu till they draw their last breathe.

Despite not being very cuddly with humans initially the boy also stuck by me when I was running a fever when I had my vaccination shots and tried to sit on my head to comfort me. Which really surprised me when I woke up in shock and realised what he was trying to do as he had never approached me in this way before.

He has always been a rat that is very comfortable to sleep belly up, showing off his unique markings by the feet

Despite his resistance against the tumor he always had major issues with taking his medications. Feeding him medication has always been a nightmare and a war which resulted in many scratches on my arms and legs. Smarty ass knows that if I tried to trick him to take medication mixed into his treats and refused to take them after the second mouth. I resorted to bundling him up in a towel to try and force feed his medication. That failed as well when he simply spits it back out. I had no choice but to request for his medications to be administered by injections for whatever is possible. Thank you for helping to resyringe his medication throughout his palliative care

Thankfully Keuh was able to recover and subsequently gained back weight and stop self barbering as he free roams in my room after Tutu passed. Boy had a major character change after he became a lone rat. Where he ended up being really close with me
