- Have you noticed that your 8 year old dog is taking some time to get up after lying down for a couple of hours?
Animals in their senior years will start to show signs and symptoms of old age just like humans. However, younger animals are not spared. Due to genetics, unethical breeding and environmental factors, these pets will tend to have medical issues throughout their lives.
DO YOU HAVE 20 MINUTES A DAY TO HELP YOUR PET?
Pet massage therapy can help most animals with aches and pains as well as relieve stress and promote a sense of well being. On a deeper level, it can also boost their immune system which in turn helps the body to heal itself.
A weekly session with a qualified pet therapist is a good way to start but it may not be enough to effect change. For massage therapy to work, it must be done regularly and consistently. All it takes is 20 minutes a day.
WHAT IF YOU HAD THE SKILLS TO HELP YOUR PET?
From experience, physical therapy such as massage alone may not be enough for an animal with health issues. It is the combination of various techniques and modalities used in conjunction with massage therapy that yields the best results.
