Grooming Pit Stop - GPS Mini Pawmart

We're back from a long hiatus!
Been busy with school and we conclude that it's not easy juggling work and study! Salute to those that came before me.

As I'm wrapping up the first semester, I'll be focusing on grooming pit stop before disappearing away for 2.5 weeks of break. 🤭

So here's a brief update:

1. Will be away to kimchi land from 28 September to 13 October. Response will be slow~ Grooming resumes on 15 October. (Give us one day to recharge our grooming tools' batteries).

2. There will be no appointments every Saturday until further notice. I am on an internship at a vet clinic to learn and gain experience to be a future vet technician. 🤭

3. Some pawrents have been asking me about CNY 2025. Relax! I have yet to see my calendar. But I will soon after I submit my Biology assignment. Will announce and text everypawdy, so don't worry ok. ☺️

Long time no see!
Kind of miss some of our grooming fur babies. 😔

This was how happy Truffles were during the session yesterday.
Although he was reluctant to come towards me, I was thankful he didn't struggle at all when we were grooming him.

"Kidnapped" her in the morning and off we go to have some fun.
She found out where we kept their treats this time round. 😱

Soon, she'll find our secret stash of toys.

She had her grooming session while she was spending the day with us.

We think she prefers her shaggy look more though.

Get well soon to those kiddos that are unwell recently. We've noticed a rise in diarrhea or softer stool in fur kids lately.

Over the weekend, we had an emergency call from Covan's mummy. He vomited and had diarrhea, and there were traces of blood. It was around 11 pm at night and most veterinary clinics were closed. But we were thankful that was available.

Went to fetch Covan and his mummy, and made our way down.
Thankfully nothing major that we need to be worried about. Got his jab and some medication.

Today, we were glad that the little boy is feeling better after checking in on him.

It was an impromptu pawcation and we had fun bonding.
And we watched how Ginny slowly opens up to our fur kids.

While I had my evening online classes, she was there by my side (next to my chair) accompanying me till dismissal. Thank you little furball, it made me feel less lonely during the lesson. 🤭

Hello pawmily,

Now that I got your attention with our cute Dione's peek-a-boo picture, we would like to share some changes with our operating hours.

From 15th April 2024 onwards:
First appointment will be at 10:30am.
Last appointment will be at 3pm.

For daycare & pawcation, those that requires us to send the fur kids home, it will be at 4pm.

We are heading back to school and it will be night classes. We're sorry for the changes but we would like to take the opportunity to study and upgrade ourselves since we're still young and able too. 💪🏻

However, during tests and exams period, we would not be able to take any appointments. So here's our first semester blocked out dates:

24 to 27 May
3 to 6 June
19 to 22 July
19 to 22 & 26 to 31 August

We're sorry for the inconvenience caused and the changes made. But we hope our studies may help our career and pawrents in a way. 💪🏻

The Hardest Goodbye

While we're still in Taiwan, we got the saddest news.

One of our grooming fur kids has gained his wings. Run free Kopi! You're free from pain. We're sorry we didn't get to see you one last time, but we're thankful to be able to say goodbye through Animal Communication last week. 🥰

Thank you for loving us too despite you not liking grooming.
We will keep your message to us in mind and spread the love.

Yogi came for a short pawcation.
And he had a blast playing with our Ben.
But he was a little sad when our Twix (she's blind) growled at him. She couldn't see him at all and was feeling a little insecure hence the growl.

It's ok boy, Twix jiejie didn't mean it. She can't see.

Clover came for her first pawcation. She's not very sociable with our fur kids, but she's definitely sociable with the humans. 🤭

But we're proud of her for braving through almost a week! Good job!

Her mama can't decide if she wants to keep her little coconut tree or to have a cute round bear face.

So...
We decided to give her mama a surprise.
Well, we love to try out something new. And we're thankful for adventurous pawrents.

We had Covan over for a few days as his pawmily needed our help to look after him. And so...

Our daily routine in the morning was to see him "lion dance" to hurry us up to feed him his breakfast. It doesn't matter what time in the morning, he will definitely do the "lion dance".

His daily walk routine, find the chickens that are always loitering at the void deck. His all time favourite activity when we were downstairs was to chase those poor chickens. 🤭

Oh, and he will "store" his p**p whenever he's with us. We have no idea why. He'll p**p revenge when he's back. Pooping in large quantities and many times the next day when he's back at home. 🤦🏻‍♀️

He does have his quirks. Weird ones. 😂

to when we did house visit after the CNY public holidays.

It's our first time house visiting a cat. It was an amazing experience because Donut was such a lovely little fur kid. 😍

Donut is affectionate and it's hard not to say no to that cutie pie. 😍

We had for a few days of pawcation.
She didn't get much of a walk due to bad weather especially during the evening when she stayed over. But it's ok, she had fun mingling with our fur kids. It's always good to have some company rather than being alone with nannies.

As our two seniors aged, they no longer can stand for a long period of time during grooming.

As much as we love our poodles being fluffy, we decided to opt for an overall shave. Comfort before vanity.

Yes, we did cry due to heartache knowing our kiddos are in their twilight years. But we also know we need to make a better decision and give them the best and comfortable "retirement".

If you have a senior fur kid, do consider comfort during grooming over aesthetics. ☺️

We may have been on a hiatus on our IG...
But we're back!

With a gentle reminder of course~

Do brush your fur kids teeth everyday!
For cleaner teeth and better oral hygiene!

When in doubt about your fur kid's oral hygiene, always check with your veterinarian.

Here's pictures of our supawvisors having their teeth brushed. We're trying our best to keep their oral hygiene as best as we can too!

Sometimes we ditched the grooming table.
Because it's safer to groom the seniors and special needs fur kids on the floor.

This is Tiffany.
She dislocated her hips quite some time ago.
Grooming her on the floor is much safer in our opinion.
We may be uncomfortable at certain angles during grooming, but whatever it takes as long as it's safer for the fur kid and they're comfortable. ☺️

We were busy with appointments as well as fostering this girl who needed a place to recuperate from her wounds.

Long story short, we ended up adopting her. Her previous owner decided to give her up after quite a hoo-ha.

Meet Dione Mimi. Our new supawvisor in training. She's a feisty one.

Pardon us as we reduce a little bit of appointments per week. Because we want to spend more time with our senior pawtizen as he enjoys his seniorhood.

He gave us a scare last weekend and had to rush him to the vet for an emergency. Thankfully he bounced back the next day and hasn't had a relapse since. 🤞🏻

It was this episode that gave us a wake up call to slow down and spend more time with our aging boy. 😔

She was on hunger strike till Sunday morning where she ate a tiny teeny bit before heading home.
Yes, she can be a little stubborn and go on fasting mode for a while.

Nevertheless, she enjoyed herself hoarding toys during her stay.
And yes, she went home with a brand new one. 😂
Cos this is how much she loves toys. Must bring home something that day.

We had a chat with this cheeky girl. It was a fun session and thank you to her mummy for giving us the opportunity to practise our AC!

Sometimes chatting with the fur kids, they showed us how simple things can make their world happy. And their abundance of love to their pawmily.

to .katsu one night pawcation with us. It was a trial pawcation to see if she can get along with our two youngest pawmily members.

Everything went well.
The only time we got a shock was when Katsu did her shiba scream when she got startled by the cats. 😂
Thankfully we didn't have any heart attack from her sudden shiba scream. 🙊

All went well. They minded their own business.
We foresee Katsu visiting often in the near future.

Cookie came over for 1.5week of pawcation. Weather was cold recently and the fur kids were cold. The only shirt we had that was of her size was Donald Duck. 😂
