They are ear mites (Otodectes cynotis), found in the ears of a young kitten. They cause intense itch and dark brown crusty ear discharge. Ear mites are contagious and can be transmitted from cat to cat. Thankfully, ear mite infections can be easily treated with anti-mite medications.

Blackie is a stray cat who was found with a protruding eye which was badly infected. He was brought in by a group of kindhearted students. His prolapsed eye was caused by a traumatic accident. We are not sure if he was kicked/abused or hit by a car/bike. A surgery was performed to remove his infected eye. This is Blackie just 1 day after the surgery, asking for attention and chin rubs! โค๐ป๐พ Get well soon, Blackie! And to the group of students who brought him in, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Gigi was abandoned at a construction site by her ex-owners. She is a sweet and beautiful girl and she has warmed up to us just after a day. She loves giving paw shakes and high fives! She tested positive for Tick Fever and will be undergoing treatment soon. We hope to help this sweetheart find a home. If anyone is interested, please contact us for more information! ๐พ๐โค
