We had our Australian Certified Organic (ACO) audit today and once again passed with flying colours. :)

The audit includes a full inspection of our premises, equipment, processing procedures, temperature control, food handling practices (human standards), cleanliness and sanitation and a full product ingredient traceability of any individual "box" of Organic Paws the auditor may decide to pull out of our freezer. This means we have to show proof that every ingredient we use to produce a box of Organic Paws is accounted for from the time that ingredient arrives at our factory to the time that individual box leaves our factory.

This also includes assessing all organic supplier invoicing, weights, amounts, processing batch dates/amounts, our stockist invoicing outgoing records and more. We are required to account for every kg produced !!!

We are not only accredited with the ACO but also have certification with Safe Food QLD. No other raw pet food manufacturer in Australia currently holds both certifications.

There is a very big difference these days with the way Organic and Non-Organic chickens are raised, fed and housed. Chicken is arguably the number 1 protein allergy that we see in the modern day cat and dog.

Organic chickens are completely free from ALL artificial chemicals, hormones, antibiotics, fillers, preservatives, flavours and bleach at any time in the growing and processing period.

They are also free to roam in paddocks to naturally forage just as nature intended. We unfortunately cannot say the same for non-organic chickens.
Consuming animals that have been raised in an unhealthy environment and fed poor quality food containing chemicals, hormones and antibiotics etc, can cause inflammation in the system trying to cope toxin elimination, and in turn can develop into illness, allergies and chronic disease.

We have many many customers who have had a pet with a particular protein source allergy and tried our meals with the same protein and their pet displayed no reaction.

Saccharomyses Boulardlin is known for its importance in managing gastrointestinal(GI)

ORGANIC V’S NON-ORGANIC

I would say that most or even all of our followers would agree that a fresh raw diet is essential for our pets to maintain long term optimum health, some visiting out site may still not understand the importance of this and that is ok, we do better when we know better.

The next level up from feeding a fresh raw diet is understanding the difference and benefits of feeding your pet an ORGANIC fresh raw diet will have on their short term health AND long term health to the point of potentially extending their life expectancy.

Unfortunately, the focus on raising large corporate conventional non organic livestock today is on growing them as fast as possible, in the smallest space possible and as cheaply as possible. To achieve this an array of pesticides, fungicides, fertilizers, hormones, herbicides and/or processed with chemicals etc are used that are harmful to people, the environment and in turn our pets. Care of these livestock animals throughout their short life and humane practices at slaughter are also not priority.

Non organic meat and meat products available today contain trace residues of many or all of these toxins, and when consumed on a regular basis can build up in the body weakening the immune system and eventually develop into degenerative diseases like kidney, liver and heart failure, cancer, allergies and chronic skin conditions.

We have now seen literally hundreds of customers with protein allergy pets that are able to eat our meals consisting of the same protein that their pet has been previous unable to eat in other pet foods without an allergic reaction. From this outcome we can only presume that the pet is not actually allergic to the protein itself, it is more than likely allergic to a preservative, chemical, antibiotic, pesticide or some other additive or hormone typically used throughout the many stages of feeding and raising non organic livestock today.

Feeding your pet a fresh Certified Organic raw meat diet containing a richer source of clean nutrients such as ours, not only gives your pet the best possible chance to live a long life of thriving health, you are also helping support eco friendly and sustainable practices that are helping to shift our world and future to that of a better place for all.
