My name is Neža and I own two border collies - Fly and Shake who helps me move my flock of sheep in Goriška Brda. Our family started raising sheep about 15 years ago. Now I have my own flock of 70 sheep called Belokrajnska pramenka. My sheep are all the year outside becouse our winters are mild. Fly and Shake help me moving the flock from one pasture to another. Now I’m doing this for about 10 yeras.
Now that border collies are a very popular dog breed people started to asking me questions how to train them and if sheepdog is helping them to put their preying instinct in the right way. Sheep dogs were born for herding domestic animals. So they have a lot of herding instinct and if you don’t direct this in the right way you can have a lot of problems with your dog. Sheepdog will help evolve the herd instinct in the right way.
And becouse of that I started with my school for sheep dogs. To help the dogs and their owners get a better coexistence.
