Our Team member iosu Varona sent us a description of his autumn part of the season, in which he became the world champion in the bikejoring M50 category:
After these 4 weeks of vacations and races I send you my chronicle.
We start with the ICF world championship. After a summer of preparation, the expected week arrived, a week that would mark my first participation in a World Cup. We arrived calm and knew we had done our homework, so all that was left was to enjoy the event. We liked the course a lot, and the conditions too, so we knew we would enjoy it with Hotz.
On Saturday we started from the last place in our category and overtook eight participants to reach the finish line with very good feelings: a 5th place overall and 2nd place in category V2, one second behind the first position. So on Sunday, we went all out. From the beginning we controlled the situation, keeping our opponent in sight, getting closer and closer until the middle of the course, when we only controlled the distance and stayed calm to not make mistakes. In the end we took a 4th place overall and 1st place in category V2,
so I'm very happy with Hotz's work, which was relentless.
From there we headed to Toulon Sur Arroux to participate in the TSB and enjoy these courses that we like so much. For the 5th consecutive year, we managed to win the bikejoring overall with Hotz and Itzal, and for the 3rd consecutive year we also took first place in the two-dog scooter with Noa, Itzal and Nora, so I'm very very happy.
To end this frenetic month of racing, we participated in the selection for the French championship. We participated in Bikejoring with Nora obtaining a 3rd place overall and 1st in V2 category that gives us the step to the French Championship. Now we have a few weeks of training before participating in the Spanish championship in December.
