Our Story
This story begins in 2014 with me needing a friend - a man’s best friend. So when on 5th of March 2014 in Golden Wally kennel a litter of chocolate Labrador Retrievers was born, I had an opportunity to choose a beautiful female, named Tisa (though I ended up calling her Nami afterwards). She was my first ever dog and little did I know getting her as my friend was just the beginning and that a whole new chapter of my life has begun.
At the time I was completely inexperienced as a dog handler, but Nami really helped me grow. She learnt new things really fast and didn’t much mind the clumsy handler beside her. We quickly progressed and at the end of the year I decided to try joining the local Search and Rescue Team. That’s where we found our passion and this is what we do to this day. We ended up passing all necessary SAR exams and now participate in real missing persons searches. We also tried our hand (and paw) at Rally Obedience and passed the first exam.
Over the years Nami turned out to be a high energy dog with high motivation to work and great character. Works really hard when working but knows how to chill and be a couch potato when not. Thanks to her I fell in love with the Labrador breed. I have decided to start my own kennel named Labrakadabra in 2019. I believe Labrador is a working breed and that is the direction I plan to take the kennel - agile dogs with great nose and with lots of natural instinct for hunting, retrieving and work in general.
So the story begins. Here’s hoping it successfully continues in the future. I hope you enjoy my page and like what you find.
