Conversano have a very friendly caracter, he is brave and not nervous horse. Easy to hanlde. He is a big gentle boy. Very easy to travel in trailer, can stay alone in box or in paddok.

Mare is 14 y old, approved also for breeding (She is born in Lipica Stud) She is 151 cm.
Gelding is 9 y old and have 154 cm . They can drive in single and in pair. Both are ridden, very nice for riding in nature.

Slovenci smo bogatejši še za en naslov, tokrat lepotni – osvojila ga je naša lipicanka, kobila Thais. Prvič po letu 2002 smo se Slovenci znova zavihteli na stopničke na lepotnem tekmovanju za konje. Naši lipicanci so osvojili kar pet prvih mest in eno drugo v različnih starostnih kategorija...

Naša zgodba

Private Breeder of lipizzans horses in Slovenia .

On the farm of family Peternel in Globoko, Upper Carniola, close to the villages Podvin and Mosnje, we breed Lipizzans since 1994. Besides breeding we are also dedicated to carriage driving. Our stud was named after our first mare Barbana, who we acquired in 1994. For some years now we promote the Lipizzan horse at equestrian events, such as events of the State Stud Lipica and the Slovenian Association of Private Breeders of the Lipizzaner or at driving competitions. We also regularly participate in smaller cultural and touristic events organized by local clubs or other associations.

The main task at Barbana Lipizzans is of course the breeding of the Lipizzan horse. The herd consists of 7 brood mares, among them also a black one. Each year we breed several foals.

Our stud is based on a small herd, so that we can keep a close relationship with each of the horses. Our young horses are kept in an open stable all year round and enjoy 10 ha of pastures, where they grow up in mixed herds.
