street dogs of thailand.
Forgive the long post but it maybe of interest for those who encounter street dogs in Thailand especially a large group like this.
Last week I came across this new group of dogs so this video is my second encounter.
On my first encounter I was sat outside of their gate on my bike when one of them nudged the gate open and I was suddenly surrounded by them. I got the usual territorial barking that so many incorrectly label as aggression.
Its so important in a situation like this that we become the observer with no reaction, no fear and remain calm and show confidence. This is something the dogs will mirror.
There were around 15 dogs in total but in a calm state you will observe the most confident dogs (4 on this occasion) will be the ones that come close to you and the rest remain in the background.
In fear we will see 15 "aggressive" dogs which isn't the reality and I hope an important life lesson for many that in a state of fear we don't get to see the world how it really is. That's why dogs are such great teachers.
If we anchor to fear we invite the attack. Dogs do not trust fear. Fear is a choice.
I got off my bike calmly but importantly with a confidence that "exceeded" the 4 dogs in front of me, walked towards them which negates any prey drive intention they may have and they calmly backed off. Dogs read your body language not your words.
The only thing we teach a dog by any over emotional reaction by waving or raising of hands or over verbalizing is that humans can't be trusted. Don't blame the dog.
I got back on my bike and rode off without being chased and went about my day.
This was my second encounter yesterday. This time around I just had calm curiosity from the 4 confident dogs. I knew from experience that if you win these guys over the less confident ones in the background that are observing will mirror the 4 and before you know it you get the trust of them all.
So on this occasion I brought out the treats. Treats have their place but
Im so happy to be alive at the same time as you. #unconditionallove #dogs of #thailand #rescuedogs
Miss Mom update.
Its been nearly three weeks since I found her collapsed one morning whilst giving her breakfast with a wound to her back leg which we believe to be consistent with a dog bite.
She has started to put weight on her leg now and is making wonderful progress and came running out to me this morning.
Her course of medication and calcium supplements are now completed. This is breakfast this morning. We spayed and vaccinated her some years ago and finally got to spay her daughter in December.
Everybody is trying to sell whats already been sold. Everybody's trying tell whats already been told.
My new project is coming soon. We are in a relationship with our dogs not an ownership. Seeing the world through the eyes of a dog will change how you see the world and your perception of it, forever.
dogs are soul guides
Dogs are already wonderful soul guides and teachers but think for one moment if this was true how much more they could elevate us by coming back as humans having already lived a life fulfilled in unconditional love without ego.

uncondional love
True unconditional love is with the soul not the physical form and the eyes are the window to it. Seeing the world through the eyes of a dog will change your world and your perception of it, forever. #dogrescue #unconditionallove #rescuedog #dogs of #thailand

Pleased to be seen. There arent many places I can go without being followed. I checked before I went in to see if the coast was clear. A dogs sixth sense I guess.
We spayed and vaccinated Miss Pearl on the right here back in Novemeber 2023 and later treated an infected sebaceous gland on her back in March 2024.
calm before the storm.
Morning meet and greet. Our calming ritual before the excitement of breakfast. They derive pleasure from both. #dogrescue #thailand
The evolution of Mr Junior.
Looking at him now its difficult to believe how far he has come.
Having been run over by a car which resulted in him having a hernia and twisted internal organs, the life saving operation he so desperately needed was thankfully successful.
He has flourished and grown so much these last few months both externally and internally with him losing all fear of his new home to grow into such a confident boy. I am so happy to be alive at the same time as you Mr Junior.

Miss Mom getting so spoilt she refuses to eat breakfast until I put the boiled chicken in it, but she needs to take her meds.
Dogs do not trust fear. They see it for what it is, low vibrational, weak energy. If we anchor ourselves to fear we invite the attack.
Dogs inherently have a prey drive and there are many kind ways to negate it. This boy was relentlessly chased by these dogs and two of them live with him. Why? Because he copied his parents in dealing with their unbalanced behavior.
One day I noticed him looking on from a distance with my interaction with the same dogs. I encouraged that curiosity just as I do with the dogs and showed him how to do it.
Over time he lost his fear and encouraging his confidence, calm and kindness, the dogs mirrored it. Now when he comes home from school they run to greet him. Dogs need to feel safe around us. These bonds of love and trust, once established, last forever. Dog bless to this boy. #dogs of #thailand #dogrescue #rescuedogs #streetdogs
