June 29, 2024 Well finally the 30th Birthday is here after some past years confusion involving Thai calendar years, 2538 Lamburg was born- according to his Livestock Dept booklet in = 1995 wot still 29 ? Arg . Been a tough last 3 months, some mysterious LR joint problem just now recovering, then the heel got injured, hence the boot, and then a sucession of antibiotics as first did not work, snot smear 10 days of injections, and now itraconzole - three times a day orally. Responding well but that month on steroids really took the weight off him. Off pain meds today as test and he is using it - albeit it seems a bil off kilter. Yesterday he finally began eating the normal amount as before and the bananas are helping plus the free range grass. Had to rebuild the fencing as the pathogens were picked up likely from raw sewage running into the wetlands from yet another development.

April 26, 2024 Water woes. The La Nino has western rains a month late and even my usually relable source of water is diminished. An 8 meter pump but the well water is down to 9 meters, so .. two nonworking submersible pumps later - and 6000 baht finally have water after 5 days of splash showers. Not happy about this outdoor metal plated socket set- up, after stating three times to please purchase a proper box for outside. "No problem.." he kept ignoring me.. Have to get that changed first thing. Lamburg's RL is still sore 26 days later still swollen and cannot keep giving him dexemethosome, need to locate Meloxicam because according to the horse vet up the street - Bute is not available anymore. He's lost weight too so more smaller meals are commencing.

Thank you to the parliament of Aotearoa for their compassionate decision to ban cruel live exports. Live export for slaughter was already banned, this new bill will now prevent animals from being shipped across the seas to be exploited as 'breeding stock'. We also commend the government for the short phase-out period. The full ban will come into effect on 30 April 2023.

Yet here we are in Australia with a government that is fully supportive of the live export of cattle and appears to be backing away from an election promise to ban live sheep export.

Addie, the profile pic cat is about 11 years old now and was adopted from Dr John as a kitten with diarhea. He is very friendly, vocalizes a lot and stays in the house most of his time. He needs to get a better quality food to control kidney issues and that food is only made by Royal Canin Urinary Control is 800 baht for 2 kilos. Frostine was also adopted that same time period and as an aging cat her diet should be a better quality that the high sodium Makro Petz Friend brand I have come to rely on

I was waiting until I can post pics but seems I will never be able to do that again-Diamond passed last week July 7, his mouth wound had healed up fine but he just refused to eat and started choking when I tried to force him, he had had kidney dysfunction for so long.... I kept up the SC saline drips and made him comfortable behind the refrigerator where it's warm and let him go.. He's buried under the Bhodi tree near to Chi-Chi. Thank you to Apple's Animal Aid and Sharn Ara Nakana for paying thise vet bills and the incidentals and continued support for the POnies too At Phuket Horse Rescue PS META and its IA bots are a mess I tried to sell a stamp with a N**i symbol on three stamp groups and got labeled a spreader of hate ...

Folks, I'll explain right now - in 2015 I closed the horse center and was preparing to leave the property- 4 rai and a house- having adopted out the remaining horses. The owner, Andrea Paoletti was coming in from Italy to take possession of the house. The day after he arrived in Phuket he got in a terrible motorcycle accident and had to return to Italy. He asked me to stay on a few more months, so I did and got the two ponies out of a situation i was not happy with. Then Andrea asked me to stay on for the year, and try to sell the property. A year later it sold and the new owners, also Italian, asked me to stay on ' for a year or so' until they could procure funding for a villa development project which then got put off and off and then off again for Covid and looks to be on track for the beginning of 2023. So if it seems I have been saying " I need to leave.." for years now- well I have- but it's not from trying to scam anyone, or any dishonesty it's a genuine situation so to those who are disparinging me on various Phuket groups, just know I have helped over a hundred cats and many horses since I arrived in late 2006, and your gossip only hampers my finding good homes for the remaining cats ( and two ponies) In short F -OFF !!
Meanwhile a situation with my Mother passing has me without funds while her estate is entering the second year of probate.

HELP Diamond has some sort of dire problem in his mouth and I simply do not have the funds to take him to the vet -Dr John of Thalang Animal Hospital has been generous in the past, surgery on Bandy for a septic snake bite free of charge, I do not want to push his good will, but I will if I have to. Diamond has had problem with his urinary tract before needing surgery to insert a stint, which Apple's Animal Aid kindly paid for., and so he requires specialty food for the rest of his life. Diamond is 13 yo. He disappeared for about a week, then I heard him meowing under the neighbor's shack -he obviously has not eaten and I am having to hand feed and I gave him a SC IV drip ( he is drinking water - a lot of it but that's concerning too.) He needs a vet TODAY .
