Guardians of Thailand Street Dogs

A small group helping stray dogs in Thailand by providing food, water & medical aid to dogs in need. Guardians of Thailand Street Dogs was founded in 2019.

Since we began our journey we have helped hundreds of dogs all over Thailand. Guardians mission is to help the well-being of stray dogs around Thailand. We do this by ensuring the dogs get food and water, help with anti-flea and tick treatment given to the dogs and any medical care given if needed. We also promote animal welfare, and provide helpful advice & information about dogs. We also have a members group page, follow-Guardians Of Street Dogs FAQ Group

Meet Creamy and Mr. Kreese. Two street dogs outside a 7/11 store in the Bang Yai area. They are very kind and loving dogs and both are in good health since Guardians came across them looking for food, they have been taking good care of and been given healthy food and clean water.
Mr. Kreese, the male is very protective over his mate Creamy, but he is a very gentle dog.
More updates on these two will follow.

Why do I love stray dogs?
Stray dogs are loyal.

Because they always want to be loved and give you their love. They don't care what I feed them or how much I pet them. Once they make me their friend, they become loyal forever. They always love me.

This month for Christmas we will be helping as many stray dogs as possible around the Bangkok area. Many street Dogs have nobody to help them, let's give them some hope and passion. Please share and support us. Any donation is so appreciated.

It breaks our hearts to announce that one of our dogs Dok-Rak also know as Bank has sadly passed away.
We helped and took care of this gentle loving dog for many years, he was one of our original dogs we started to help right from when Guardians of Thailand Street Dogs first started. Bank was found on the corner of an empty plot of land, skinny and malnourished and was covered in ticks.
Bank was very shy when we first found him but over time we gained his trust.
During the time we were caring for Bank he sustained a number of injuries, usually from fighting other street dogs.
We were very happy to see Bank adopted by a small family who ran a restaurant. But unfortunately he was diagnosed with cancer and sadly succumbed to his illness. Dog-Rak passed away in his sleep.

If there is a heaven, it's certain that Dog-Rak is there. Run free over the rainbow bridge buddy and be with your friends. You will always be in our hearts and memories.

I would like to say a massive thank you to the people who were so kind to donate funds to help Cookie. It was so sad that he passed away, but every bit of money that was donated helped fund for pain relief and vet care. Some of the donations also covered his funeral costs and he was cremated.

Meet Chalky also known as Nadech. Named after the Thai actor Nadech Kugimiya. We came across Chalky about 4 years ago outside a 7/11 store and we have been taking care of him ever since with the help of friendly Thai locals. He is such a loving gentle dog, who enjoys a good belly rub and he gives so much love to people.

▪️They DON’T complain about eating scraps of food or drinking dirty water from a puddle.

▪️They DON’T complain about living on the street.

▪️They DON’T complain when people are nasty to them and chase them away.

▪️The only things street dogs DO are; try to survive each day, search for food, water and somewhere to sleep/rest, and maybe even some human attention and affection.

▪️All animals have feelings, just the same way as humans! It doesn’t take much effort to show or give a little affection to them.

Queen Elizabeth II was a true dog lover, her favourite dog breed being the Pembroke Welsh Corgi. Her Majesty the Queen had over 30 corgis in her lifetime, with her first Corgi being an 18th birthday gift named Dookie from her father, King George VI.

R.I.P Coco.

For most street dogs in Thailand, their lives are full of misery, pain, sadness and hopelessness. They cannot speak a single word to ask for help, but their eyes tell us everything. Sadly no one sees this. It is heartbreaking, that they have been reduced to being invisible. No dog deserves this.
The truth is that most street dogs have a cruel fate and lose their battle for survival just like Coco.

If there is a heaven, it’s certain Coco will be there! Rest in Peace Coco, you will be forever in our hearts 🙏

This is Zorro.
Like a lot of street dogs around Thailand his home is out side a 7/11 store. Everyday will be the same, some days he will have to scavenge for food or if he’s lucky some kind person may give him a snack or some food.
But most days he is invisible to all the people that just walk past him, some will look at him as dirt or scare him away. This is the life of most dogs around South East Asia. For others they may have it worse.
