ฝ่าวิกฤตความมั่นคงด้านอาหารด้วยเกษตรเมืองของไทย ในการประชุมนานาชาติ “the International Urban Farming Conference 2017” ประเทศเยอรมนี

Grandpa Urban Farm, Bangkok, Thailand was invited to present paper on topic of ” Innovation for Organic Urban Farming for Food Security in Climate Change Situation” and to share experiences in doing urban farm in the International Urban Farming Conference 2017 during 11-12 September 2017 in Berlin, Germany. The Conference was organized by GRUNE LIGA Berlin which is an environmental non-profit organization. The conference venue was Heinrich-Boll Stiftung in Berlin.

The conference aims to highlight the important of urban agriculture for sustainable urban development as well as for food security and climate protection by providing a platform for international organization from the Global South and the Global North to showcase their urban agriculture projects. The Conference included a number of lectures, panel dicussions,workshops and excursions.
There were nearly 200 participants from 30 countries.
There were 60 speakers from different countries who work on urban farming such as Ethiopia, Syria/Lebanon, USA, Mexico,Columbia, Kenya, Canada, French, Morocco, Iran, Ecuador, Gaza, Egypt, Bolivia, Jordan,Hungary, South Africa, Cuba, England, Argentina, Brazil, Bangladesh,Bulgaria, Italy, Malawi, Chile,Mosambik, Thailand and Germany.

Mr.Komson Hutapaed, a representative of the Grandpa Urban Farm and the Media Center for Development, Bangkok, Thailand had a good opportunity to present ideas and share experiences in one of panel discussions on topic of “Role, Potentials and Boundaries or Urban Farming in Countries affected by instability and conflict”.

Mrs.Carol Bushar ,Permaculturalist who conduct a sustainable project in Chili

On December,21,2017 , Mrs.Carol Bushar who originally from the U.S.A and has been in Southern Chile, living sustainably, off-grid with a group of international friends for the past 10 years visit our Grandpa Urban Farm Her experience is so cool and interesting ! Mrs.Carol has an eco-village project called Los Brujos , builting her own houses without electricity using bioconstruction methods and keep organic gardens, chickens, and honeybees. ‘ Along Way Home’ by Thai PBS (Thai TV program) also filmed her project, you can watch in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fg6gtM5fQqo ) She also a permaculturalist and an illustrator of comics and environmental education materials, and this past year She had been travelling with copies of her bilingual book Little Ann Lion and the Sustainable Path, sharing with many different agro-ecological projects in the U.S., the U.K. and now in Thailand!
