Obedience training is a great way to gain better control and understanding of your dog. With over 25 years of hands-on teaching experience and over 10,000 graduates of our training program, we know that every dog & human partnership is unique. We use a common-sense approach to training that is effective for your dog and gives you the knowledge and skills necessary to be an excellent dog owner. At

K-9 Bangkok, we do not train in the service of an ideology. We train for reliability and results. We Provide 3 Training Formats

GROUP CLASSES

Our Group Classes are the best method of instruction for new dog owners. This class will give you the chance to see how a wide variety of problem behaviors are solved and learn the skills and techniques used by professional trainers. In the group class, I will instruct you through the basics of teaching your dog the obedience commands of sit, heel, stay and come. By providing explanations and practical exercises, you will gain the ability to teach your dog AND any future dog you may have. The class is designed for the owner to be the primary trainer and to do homework as taught in the class. Owners attend with their dogs, learn an obedience lesson, and work with their dog at home, progressing through the 12-week course. The tuition is 10,000 baht for the 12 sessions which is paid upon starting the course. The Group Class is open to dogs of all ages, breeds and dispositions. You can choose either a Saturday or Sunday class. The orientation class for new students is at 08:30. Each class at 45 minutes long. Pre-enrollment is not required. You may drop in with your dog on either Saturday or Sunday morning at 08:30. BOARDING & TRAINING
Our Boarding & Training School is a 21-day intensive course where your dog will be trained multiple times per day and experience a sane schedule and routine. He will graduate our school with a high degree of reliability with his obedience commands. Behavior problems will be addressed and corrected, while we instill new habits, respect for human leadership, and good direction and guidance. We spend many sessions teaching you how to foster a better relationship with your dog and maintain what he has learned. The Boarding and Training program is 21-days long. It teaches the basic obedience skills of sit, heel with distractions, drop, drop-stay, come and place. The tuition is 32,500 baht which includes boarding, extensive training sessions, training equipment, pick up and delivery from your home (Metro Bangkok), and multiple training sessions with you. PRIVATE TRAINING
Private training at our facility is another option. There are some situations that require private one-on-one dog training classes. Generally we reserve this time for those working through difficult behavior problems. Almost all dogs will benefit from the interaction of the group format, but when that is just not possible, we can provide private lessons. Private Training Class is 12 sessions spaced throughout the week, delivered one-on-one with the owner’s participation and with homework between sessions. The tuition is 22,900 baht which is paid upon starting the program. At the moment, our private lessons are delivered at our facility on a day and time that is convenient for you.

Heeling in a tight formation requires a high level of skill for the handler and dog. Very useful in places like dog parks, vet clinics, grooming or pet shops. You can learn these skills in our group classes. Contact for more details!

The Sit should be smooth and concise. The dog's front legs and paws should not step backwards or adjust, but rather the rear end of the dog comes forward and under the body in one motion. The dog and handler should be in a box - aligned in both angle and in position.

In the group class, I will instruct you through the basics of teaching your dog the obedience commands. By providing explanations and practical exercises, you will gain the ability to teach your dog and any future dog you may have.

The classes are designed for the owner to be the primary trainer and to do homework as taught in the class. Owners attend with their dogs once per week, learn an obedience lesson, and work with their dog at home, progressing through the 8-week courses. The group classes are open enrollment and you can start anytime. Classes are ongoing on Saturday and Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m..

The tuition is 8,000 baht for each level. There are 8 classes in each level. The Group Class is open to dogs of all ages, breeds and dispositions.

Basic Obedience Part A:
- Heeling (informal loose-leash)
- Sit with distractions
- Come (informal)

Basic Obedience Part B:
- Heeling (formal and focused)
- Sit-stay with distractions
- Drop and Drop-stay with distractions
- Place and Place-stay command

Intermediate Obedience Part A:
- Formal Recall
- Formal Finish
- Stand command

Intermediate Obedience Part B:
- Agility Exercises
- Off-Leash Heeling (Beginning Stage)
- Certification:

Advanced Obedience:
- Send Away
- Drop-on-the-Move
- Drop-on-the-recall

By the time you reach the Advanced Obedience Courses, you and your dog will be a well-coordinated team. You will have smooth skills as a handler, you will have a working understanding of how dogs learn, and you will be able to shape basic behaviors. In the Advanced Course you will get hands-on knowledge using an assortment of advanced training tools and techniques.

Our Story

For a quarter of a century Patrick Bundock and the K-9 Dog Training team has been the place to go for dog owners that need results.

We will solve all types of canine behavior problems - mild to severe displays of fear, human and dog directed aggression, excessive barking, destructive habits, and unruly behaviors.

Our training programs will change your dog's behavior and life. You will better understand your dog and the effects you have on your dog's behavior.

Dog training is much more than just sitting up to take a bow or jumping through hoops. Properly done, an obedience course will increase communication and understanding between pet and owner. Obedience training gives you an opportunity to understand how your dog works and thinks. It gives your dog a chance to know the rules and what is expected of him. A well taught dog is a joy to have around, to take for walks, to enjoy their company. This is the reason why most people decide to have a dog in the first place. By training you are creating a bond between dog and master that will make the relationship for both that much more meaningful.

What techniques are used? The “absolutes” school of training (whether it be solely positive or negative teaching methods), are confusing and unworkable. Both extremes fail to deliver consistent results in a wide range of dogs.

Absolutes in a training method do not succeed because every dog is different. Treating each dog as an individual, with the appropriate balance of rewards and corrections, is the only way to make training enjoyable for the dog and effective for the owner. The common sense approach to training addresses each dog on an individual basis and uses a combination of many teaching techniques to get the expected results while maintaining the dog’s enjoyment for learning. Who will train my dog? With over 25 years of hands-on teaching experience and over 6,000 graduates of our training programs, we have had the opportunity to try every method of training in the field. From clicker-training to the strict methods used by military and police, we are experienced using a wide variety of training techniques. How long will it take? How much does it cost? What are my training options? We currently run several different kinds of courses.

The Basic On-Lead Obedience: In this course your dog will learn 4 essential obedience commands that will change his life and yours. During this course you will be instructed on the basics of training a dog, and your dog will be taught to sit, heel, down and come at a high degree of consistency. We provide this training in our group obedience classes. These classes are modeled from our successful course curriculum in Australia and the United States and will be recognizable to anyone who has taken dog training classes abroad. Group classes are the best method of instruction for new dog owners. The group format provides an opportunity to socialize with other dog owners and for your dog to meet other canines. You’ll have the chance to see how a wide variety of problem behaviors are treated and be able to spend time handling other people’s dogs. In the group class, we will instruct you through the basics of teaching your dog the obedience commands of sit, heel, drop, stay and come. By providing explanations, lots of examples and showing you the behind-the-scenes techniques that trainers use, you will gain the ability to teach your current dog AND any future dog you may have. Dogs of any breed, size, and age are welcome. All training equipment is provided in the course. Attend weekly training sessions and have the proud satisfaction of teaching your own dog under the guidance of a trained professional. Group Class Fee: 10,000 baht Private Tuition Fee: 25,000 baht Duration: 10 sessions of 1 hour each. Suitability: All dogs. The Intermediate Obedience Course: The intermediate obedience class is the first step towards preparing your dog for competition obedience trials. Even if you have no interest in earning obedience titles in competition, this course will give you superb control – teaching extremely high levels of consistency and accuracy on the heel, come, sit, drop, stand, formal recall and finish.
