As the owners at Our K9, we adore dogs and are the proud parents of 22 beautiful dogs.
All rescues, All rejected for one or more reasons, Dogs with medical issues, street dogs, dangerous dogs, rescued from puppy mills…
They are Naughty They are Good…
They are Young They are Old…
They are Big They are Small…
But They Are ALL Simply Wonderful…
Our dogs range in size from a tiny, Long Haired Chihuahua, up to our largest dog, an English Bulldog. You can imagine that having all of our dogs together created quite the mayhem and barking symphony. This was a big problem, especially where our neighbors were concerned. We needed a solution, and we needed one fast.
We searched the web and local pet stores for effective and humane anti-bark collars. Unfortunately, we never found a solution we felt good about. And what’s worse, they never seemed to be the right size— especially for our very small dogs.
So we decided to create our own Bark Collars for Dogs— especially ones that would fit very small dogs. We are happy to announce that we created our dream, “no bark dog training collars” that we felt safe and comfortable putting on our dogs without causing them harm. We can’t wait for you to experience the peaceful upgraded dog-owner life with our specialty bark collars! You’re going to love them!
Now, we also made Feeding Mats for All Dog Sizes. We personally use the mats on our new adopted dogs.

All of our dogs know there is a time for barking and there are times when no barking is allowed"During the day none of the dogs wear collars they only go on at night when the slightest noise would set them all off barking, then the neighbor's dogs would start and all hell would break loose.
So when bedtime rolls around they all line up to have their collars put on...
Bella (Rejected; Because she has breathing problems and fits, Both of which are improving everyday) gets a Mint collar (beep and gentle vibration)
Bert (Rejected: Why? he has hip dysplasia and hip joints does not work as it should... (Pomeranian) Yellow again Beep and Vibration
Boomer (Chihuahua, a very sensitive little dog, another rescue, Skin Problems) Topaz Ultrasonic and Vibration (This collar has not been charged in over a year, just putting the collar on is enough now)
Cee Cee (Shunoddle ex caged breeding dog rescued and is doing amazingly well) Teal (Ultrasonic and Vibration) She's a very nervous rescue and had adapted to the collar within a few hours... It has made her a lot less skittish
Cozzie (Bitsa) He's another rescued seasoned street dog a constant barker but gentle dog. He also has an Ultrasonic Collar, Moonstone. Cozzie has turn out to be the most loving dog you could hope for.
Billy (Foxy) Little Billy was thrown over our wall when she was a couple of weeks old... Very feisty little dog, always has a lot to say, and if anyone else barks she starts without fail... She wears a Cherry collar and alternate between mild shock and vibration, if she works out that the collar is on vibration she will bark so we switch back to a very mild shock...
Biscuit (Jack Russell) Was given to us because he had so many medical issues, and allergies, scratching and hair falling etc... We give him local unpasteurized honey every day and he is 100% better... But a Very Determined Barker and Constantly on Guard Duty, He wears the Purple Collar On Middle-Level Shock...
Budda Our incredibly lazy Bulldog, He was found in a cage with 3 others, we took in two but unfortunately his little brother Bubba passed away, currently in the process of building a treadmill for Budda... He wears the Mauve Collar because he thinks his job is to wake the whole neighborhood up...
Henretta Is our latest addition, she once again a long time street dog, she is a Thai Ridgeback. Unfortunately she went blind and almost deaf and walked out onto the road and got hit by a car, the surgeons rebuilt her hips and now she is starting her recovery.
Bruiser we got him because he could not be controlled by his owners. He was basically chained up 24 hours a day 7 days a week. And they wondered was he was constantly misbehaving. Since joining our pack he has quietened down although still boisterous, he does try and curb his exsuberance when playing with the little ones.
Cosmo is an incredibly loving crazy larrikin... This is remarkable because he had spent all his life on the streets trying to survive. When he was rescued his coat was just one huge matted mess. He loves doing high fives and a crazy dance which makes everyone laugh. He is a bit of a loner but does tolerate the puppies even when they are jumping all over him.
Henry & Teddy came as a joint deal. Their owner booked an appointment at the vets for a check-up. And never returned to pick them up. They asked the vet to look after them until they return. ONE YEAR LATER the Vet decided only then to rehome them. So they both spent a year in a cage in the vets. They are brothers, Henry being 6 years old and Teddy being 4 years old. Henry likes a little bit of affection But Teddy demands it...
Diva WAS the newest member of our ever-growing family. She was shot by a farmer and left to die. She managed to get help and WVS saved her life and treat her wounds. She still has a limp when she runs around and plays. She is a very playful young dog who loves nothing more than cuddling up with us or our other dogs. Extremely well behaved and as bright as a button.
Titan was allowed to roam by his previous owner. One day he, unfortunately, got hit by a car. He suffered a double break to his back ad a broke leg. The ower then "dis-owned" him refusing to pay his medical costs. After 7 months he is now running around playing with his brothers and sisters. Super smart dog and loves a cuddle, only when no one is around.
Pancake is a real sweetie, again another ex-street dog. She is slowly starting to trust people again, and it is fascinating watching her analyzing situations, and whether she should be part of a game, or should she join in on this hunt. The only time she is really herself and forgets all the past trauma in her life is when she plays with the puppies. That one brings a tear or two...
Buffy & Caramel are the daughters of Cookie & Bella. "It only takes Once". Unfortunately, Bella came into heat and Cookie was really fast... :) By the time we got Bella's diaper on it was too late, and as a result, we have 2 incredible little bundles of happiness. These little guys are full-on wanting to play with everyone. Caramel has also formed a very strong bond with Hennie our Blind & Deaf Girl.
We had a phone call from a friend telling us that there were 3 little dogs running around, for about 3 weeks, that will not leave his house... Welcome Jack, Jill & Banjo
