Namthip, despite not having been taught discipline within an elephant family from a young age, recently began learning this with her nannies and new family. 🥰🐘 She proves to be a good student, showing intelligence and attention. Like any other elephant, Namthip enjoys playing and expressing herself naturally. However, her playful nature can sometimes go a bit too far, such as when she steals toys from senior elephants like PornSawan, who is stronger and sometimes easily irritated. Nevertheless, when Namthip receives a warning from her nannies, she is quick to respond and returns to them immediately. The mission of rescuing elephants is to enhance their lives and ensure their health and well-being. Most elephants in our care have endured severe hardships, often being exploited from a young age through to their senior years. ✨🐘 Our aim is to liberate them, restore their dignity, and ensure their rights are respected. They deserve happiness and the fulfillment of their natural needs, and to bond with others of their own kind, a right denied them from birth. This narrative reflects the journey of almost every elephant whom we have rescued, illustrating a transformation towards a brighter future. These are just a few examples among hundreds who have been relocated to our project. NamThip has been missing her favorite hard play toys that were swept away in the flood. A kind volunteer brought a yoga ball to cheer her up. NamThip’s Nannies cautioned her about the new bouncy ball. However, nanny Ponsawan couldn't resist and began to play with it. In her excitement, Ponsawan stepped on the ball, and with a loud pop, it burst ! Everyone was curious about what had happened to the object which was such fun. Best friends Vana and DaoThong are making their way back to the night shelter for their evening meal. Every day, our veterinary team provides nutritional guidance for all the elephants, especially those with leg and hip issues like Vana and Daothong. Managing their weight is essential to prevent excessive strain on their legs.
