Thong Ae is quite adept at unlocking and sneaking into the food storage to pilfer bananas, watermelons, and sweet corn. Today, she managed to slip into the elephant kitchen, only to be caught by the mahout while enjoying ripe bananas. Cleverly, Thong Ae made her escape by rappelling down behind the kitchen. Each day, the young elephants here showcase amusing acts of bravery, with Thong Ae standing out as the chief troublemaker. Yet, despite her mischievousness, she remains everyone's favorite at ENP ♥️

น้องทองเอเป็นผู้ชำนาญในการสะเดาะกลอนประตูเข้ามาในโรงเก็บอาหาร เพื่อมาขโมย กล้วย แตงโม และข้าวโพดหวานกิน วันนี้ทองเอแอบเข้ามาในครัวช้าง แอบมากินกล้วยพอควาญจับได้ ทองเอ หาทางลัดในการหนีโดยการโรยตัวไปด้านหลังครัวช้าง
ทุกๆวัน ลูกช้างวัยรุ่นที่นี่จะสร้างวีรกรรมให้เป็นที่ขบขัน โดยเฉพาะทองเอ เธอเป็น ตัวตึง ของที่นี่ ถึงแม้จะซุกซนแต่เธอยังเป็นขวัญใจและเป็นที่รักของทุกคนทที่ENP

น้องทองเอ ฟ้าใหม่ เจนนี่ และคุณยายศรีนวล พากันลงน้ำ ส่งเสียงสื่อสารพูดคุยสำรวจระดับแม่น้ำที่สูงขึ้นในขณะที่สายฝนตกลงมาอย่างไม่หยุดสาย และในขณะเดียวกันพวกเค้าก็สื่อสาร แสดงความเป็นห่วงเป็นใยต่อกัน กับในทุกๆสถาณการ์ณที่เกิดขึ้น ความสัมพันธ์ที่อบอุ่นใจของครอบครัวช้างในศูนย์บริบาลคะ

และพวกเราขอส่งกำลังใจให้กับผู้ประสบภัยน้ำท่วมในทุกพื้นที่ในภาคเหนือ ผ่านพ้นวิกฤตไปได้โดยเร็ววันคะ

Faa Mai, Thong Ae, Jenny, and Grandma Srinuan made their way down to the river, communicating closely as they navigated the rising waters amid continuous rainfall. Their deep care and concern for one another in every situation is a touching reminder of the strong bonds that thrive here at Elephant Nature Park.

I took FaaMai’s family group to meet with PyiMai and Chaba’s family today. It was a positive gathering and one which will reoccur more frequently now. We have to oversee the behavior of certain elephants, especially Mae BuaThong, FaaMai’s mother, who can be cantankerous, but all went well. There was some hesitation, but mostly hopeful to create one family group on our riverbend, including ThongAe’s family members ♥️ENP♥️.

Another longer video, if you have patience 🙏Today, Baitoey followed me to visit with ThongAe and FaaMai and that family group. It was a respectful visit, and everyone was keenly interested in Baitoey. She’s such a sweet and troubled girl, but fully enjoying life in the Park, together with her own family group with WanMai, MaeMai, and MeeBoon. She also loves to explore the Park, and meet others. Timid, Baitoey takes advantage of our close friendship and follows me everywhere 🥰

Ponsawan was up and down the river all day having fun in high water and visiting with other elephants as she was able. She tried to visit with the PyiMai family but was rebuffed by BunMa at first, and then the senior nanny, DMax. Ponsawan was not altogether satisfied with that, but eventually yielded to the elder’s insistence to keep away from her children😆

ระดับแม่น้ำที่สูงขึ้น ทำให้แม่พรสวรรค์เดินขึ้นลงเล่นน้ำวันละหลายๆรอบ และวันนี้ระหว่างเดินเล่นตามแม่น้ำ แม่พรสวรรค์เห็นน้องปีใหม่ ชบาก็อยากจะขึ้นฝั่งไปหาเด็กๆ แต่แม่บุญมา ตามสันชาติญานแม่ที่ปกป้องลูกน้อยก็เข้ามาขวางใว้ ตามด้วยยายดีแม้กที่เข้ามาช่วยกันปกป้องหลานๆ ตามธรรมชาติของครอบครัวช้าง

แม่พรสวรรค์เห็นดังนั้นจึงจำเป็นต้องคอยดูอยู่ห่างๆ มาเป็นกำลังใจให้แม่พรสวรรค์ด้วยกันนะคะ❤️

หนูดำเป็นหมาจรจัดที่ข้ามแม่น้ำมาอยู่กับโขลงช้าง หนูดำไม่ชอบอยู่กับหมาด้วยกันและไม่ยอมมาอยู่ในคอกแต่จะอาศัยอยู่กับโขลงช้าง ที่มีพื้นที่กว้างวางสามารถวิ่งเล่นได้อย่างอิสระเสรี ทุกๆวันพนักงานดูแลหมาที่ศูนย์จะเอาอาหารไปให้ หนูดำจะนอนในกระท่อมของควาญและทุกวันจะวิ่งเล่นรอบๆช้างและกลายเป็นเพื่อนของน้องช้าง
น้องชบาจะยิ่งไล่กวดและหนูดำดูเหมือนจะรู้งาน วิ่งซิกแซ็กไปมาหลอกล่อให้ชบาวิ่งหลงทาง

นี่คือมิตรภาพต่างสายพันธุ์ในโครงการของENP ทุกชีวิตที่นี่ไม่มีกำแพงกั้น ไม่มีคำว่าใครสำคัญกว่ากัน แต่คำว่ารักและมิตรภาพที่นี่ทำให้ทุกชีวิตอยู่ด้วยกันได้อย่างกลมกลืนและมีความสุข

SanMeung lives in a peaceful 2 acres next to his friend Yindee. SanMeung just finished almost 6 weeks in musth during which time he lost some weight, as all bulls do. We’ve been giving him extra foods for a while to add to his powerful physique. A gentle boy with a typically playful nature, this new life at ENP is a world away from his nightmare in the circus in the south.

On this World Elephant Day, we reflect on the majestic presence of elephants and the profound role they play in our ecosystem. Yet, they face severe threats from poaching, habitat loss, and the harsh realities of captivity. Wild elephants are often victims of ivory trade and human encroachment, while captive elephants endure inadequate living conditions, exploitation, and abuse.

It is our collective responsibility to address these challenges with urgency and compassion. We must advocate for stronger protections, support sustainable habitat conservation, and promote ethical practices in both wildlife tourism and captive usury. By raising awareness and taking action, we can work towards a future where elephants thrive in the wild and are treated with the dignity and respect they deserve everywhere. Together, let's commit to making a positive change for these incredible creatures. 🐘💔🌍

วันนี้เป็นวันช้างโลก เป็นวันที่ตั้งขึ้นมาเพื่อเตือนความจำให้ทุกคนได้ตระหนักรู้ว่าเรามีสัตว์ใหญ่ที่สุดหลงเหลือมีชีวิตอยู่บนโลกนี้เพียงประเภทเดียวคือช้าง โดยมีสัตว์ใหญ่หลายชนิดได้สูญพันธุ์ไปจากโลกนี้หมดแล้ว และวันนี้เหลือแต่เพียงภาพถ่ายเท่านั้นไม่ว่า แมมมอธ หรือไดโนเสาร์ทุกชนิด

Khamla Herd's Heartwarming Meeting with Lek! 🐘

Every evening, the Khamla herd makes their way back to the main sanctuary where they stay together overnight.

It's a beautiful sight to witness as they gracefully come down the hill and then wander in harmony along the river.

Tonight, as they were making their way back, they smelled our founder Lek Chailert and immediately enveloped her into the herd. They greeted Lek like seeing one of their best friends, touching her and chattering away.

After catching up, Lek leads the herd back to ENP, where tasty snacks await before they head to their night shelters.

ในทุกๆเย็นโขลงช้างน้องคำหล้าจะเดินกลับไปยังที่พัก เป็นภาพที่งดงามที่เกิพขึ้นในศูนย์เราในทุกๆวัน

It is with great honor that I accepted an invitation from Thammasat University, a prestigious and historic institution renowned for its focus on law, politics, and governance, to speak at their 90th anniversary and new student orientation event.

This event, which welcomes approximately ten thousand new students, aims to offer diverse perspectives on critical topics such as society and the environment.

I was joined by Ms. Pitha Limjaroenrat, a promising politician who shared his insights on politics, and Mr. Sathian, the founder of Red Carabao energy drink, who discussed economic perspectives. Together, we highlighted three essential views on youth development for fostering a global society.

Many people may question the relevance of my work with animals in transforming youth perspectives towards improving life quality. Why should animals and the environment matter to students at a university focused on politics and governance?

Respect for everyone’s rights and recognizing the equal value of all life are crucial in shaping the minds of future national leaders. As these students grow to become leaders and executives, their ability to show compassion and empathy will determine whether they govern with fairness and understanding. Without these qualities, we risk nurturing leaders who are self-centered and devalue others, leading to oppression and exploitation.

Enacting laws and governance without moral integrity results in self-serving resource exploitation, reminiscent of past governance failures. Cruelty to animals often precedes broader insensitivity toward vulnerable individuals, reinforcing social hierarchies that devalue helpless lives.

Therefore, it is fundamental to instill in youth the principle that all lives hold equal worth. This foundation encourages them to embrace compassion and active participation in societal improvements, thereby fostering a future where they can live harmoniously with others and drive meaningful change for our country’s betterment.

As we consider the impact of nurturing empathy and compassion in young minds, it becomes clear that fostering these values is not only crucial for individual development but also for creating a society that values justice and equality. By emphasizing the significance of every life, whether human or animal, we lay the groundwork for a more inclusive and understanding community.

หลายคนอาจจะสงสัยว่าการทำงานเกี่ยวกับสัตว์ของดิฉันมันจะเกี่ยวอะไรกับการเปลี่ยนแปลงแนวคิดและมุมมองของเยาวชนต่อการพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตของเยาวชน ทำไมเรื่องสัตว์และสิ่งแวดล้อมถึงสำคัญต่อนักศึกษาที่กำลังจะเรียนในมหาวิทยาลัยที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการเมืองและการปกครอง
การเคารพต่อสิทธิของผู้อื่น การมองทุกชีวิตมีค่าเท่ากันเป็นเรื่องจำเป็นต่อการหล่อหลอมความคิดของอนาคตของชาติ ในวันหนึ่งที่เด็กเหล่านี้จะเติบโตไปเป็นผู้นำหรือผู้บริหารแต่หากพวกเขาขาดซึ่งความเมตตา หากจิตใจพวกเขาหยาบกระด้างขาดเห็นอกเห็นใจผู้อื่นเราจะได้ผู้นำที่เห็นแก่ตัว และมองคนอื่นไร้ค่า เราจะเห็นการกดขี่ข่มเหง การใช้กฎหมายและปกครองแบบไร้คุณธรรม เราจะเห็นการตักตวง ฉาบฉวยเอาทรัพยากรของประเทศไปเป็นของตัวเองแบบมือใครยาวสาวได้สาวเอาเหมือนคนรุ่นเก่าในอดีตที่ผ่านมา
การทารุณกรรมสัตว์เป็นปฐมบทของการนำไปสู่การเหยียบย่ำรังแกชีวิตที่ด้อยค่ากว่าและคนที่ไร้ทางสู้ดังนั้น การปูพื้นฐานให้เยาวชนได้เห็นความสำคัญของทุกชีวิตให้มีค่าเท่ากัน ชี้นำ ทำให้พวกเขาเรียนรู้ถึงความเมตตาเพื่อจะนำสิ่งเหล่านี้มาดำรงชีวิตร่วมกับผู้อื่นได้อย่างมีความสุข สนับสนุนให้พวกเขาตื่นตัวเพื่อสร้างความเปลี่ยนแปลงในสิ่งที่ดีขึ้นกับประเทศของเรา
วันนี้มีนักศึกษาใหม่ประมาณ หนึ่งหมื่นคนมาร่วมงานปฐมนิเทศ ดิฉันขอขอบคุณผู้บริหารมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ที่ให้เกียรติเชิญดิฉันมาพูดในงานนี้ค่ะ
