I am extremely worried because Cupid cannot stand today. I pray it is not a disc herniation. Since no veterinary hospitals or clinics are open, I contacted our vet, who advised giving him anti-inflammatories and antibiotics while we wait. This New Year's is terrible; it's ridiculous that we cannot access emergency veterinary care. Its my worst new year .. see my dog sick and cant help.. hospital will be open on number 4 january . ⁉️ What do you do when someone drops off 18 puppies at your shelter gate? 😬 You vaccinate them...microchip them...de-worm them... and treat them for fleas and ticks. 💲 All at a cost, of course. $59 per dog, plus the cost of the vet visit... and then you have to feed them. Pay staff to care for them. They are entered into our "Community Adoption Program". We pay half of the sterilization fee at the age of 6 months. $50 to $83 male and $99 to $150 female. So far, seven have found homes with lovely Thai families. We could use help with the cost of these adorable bundles of energy and kisses. 🎉💗 Our staff at our shelter in Buriram give our dogs so much love and attention. It's hard to tell who loves who more. They enjoy their walks together quietly talking to each other. Brushing, shampoos, nail trims, feeding, bedtime blankets all snuggled in for the chilly night. It heals their hearts and allows them to believe in and trust humans. We rescued our elderly Simon from a difficult situation in Bangkok, and he is understandably tired. We are giving him many health supplements to help him. His advanced age has taken its toll after a life of hardship and neglect. Simon sleeps a great deal and doesn't eat much. We are quite worried. The cold winter weather isn't helping. 😢TESSABAHN has a bacterial infection in his eyes. We are treating him with medicine and eye drops. But, he should be taken to the vet. 🙏🏻 We are in a terrible situation not being able to take our dogs to the vet without paying cash up front. Tessabahn is a very old dog and needs us. Years ago, Tessabahn was a street dog surviving in the city. Michael rescued him when the city was having a running marathon. The govt. said he would chase and bite the runners. Of course, he has never bit anyone. 😢🐕 Ask any one of our dogs, "What does it mean to suffer? What does fear feel like?" Sadly, any one of our dogs could answer your questions. 🐕 Michael was called to rescue DANG. The owner of this beautiful boy left him chained to their home, with no water to drink. 😢 They said he was aggressive and had bit a child. They hit him in the head with a garden hoe several times. 😢 Dang deserved a better life, so Michael rescued him. 😢Our vet told us he was a very sick dog. He suffered from liver and kidney disease and blood parasites. He is now safely with us and only knows love and happiness. 💗After Dang’s long medical treatment, he is a healthy and friendly sweet dog.
