😥 NELSON and ELSA were rescued by Michael from a rusted steel cage at a slaughterhouse. It is such a fearful, terrifying experience to be stolen from your owner, shoved in a closed bag... you can't see.. you can't breathe. Then dumped into a cage with other terrified dogs. You're shaking, you urinate on yourself... and some brutal, horrible person hits you and beats you with a steel pole. This was their life. 😭 Michael Chour saved them. 💗 Today, both Nelson snd Elsa have been adopted abroad into loving homes. 🎉 YOWA and THELMA have formed a lasting friendship and we are so happy for them. It's not always easy pairing up dogs. They need to accept each other. Yowa, trapped in a wire trap, almost losing her entire paw. 😭 Thelma, abandoned in a home to starve to death with other puppies. Sad times when one of our dogs loses their partner to death. How to cope...how to grieve.. how to support this dog during their grieving period. It's what our staff, Michael Chour and Tan do. Our beautiful KALI, is doing remarkably well. She moves freely in our handicapped garden. June 2023, she was slammed into by a speeding car, catapulting her fragile body into the air, and landing in the grass... breaking her spine and legs. And for what?! A deliberate, intentional act of cruelty. "Kali, we are so proud of your bravery. We know it hasn't been easy for you. 🎉 SUMO update: Sumo's mama brings him to the hospital daily. He is receiving his hormone injections. He gets vet care for his terrible wound, caused by a machete attack to his head. He still has high blood pressure and liver problems. Update on 🩷SWEETHEART 🩷 We do believe we see his smile! He is eating better and moving better. He even looks better ! That's what a safe home, love and attention will do for an abandoned, starving, sick dog. Sweetheart had been treated for his blood parasites with antibiotics.
