There are no words big enough for this loss.
Momma wasn’t just another dog at PACS, she was part of the place itself. She was the boss, the soul, and the one who made every day feel complete. Every morning she waited at the gate, tail wagging, eyes shining, ready to walk in with us like she always did. She’d lean in gently for pats, or actually more demand them with a nudge.
She grew older alongside us through the busy days, the quiet nights, the endless stream of new faces. Everyone who met her felt it that calm, steady strength. True to her name, Momma was the boss of this place. She wasn’t the easiest to win over, It took time to earn her respect and love, but once you did, her love was everything. It was the most genuine love you could ever imagine!
She came to PACS back in 2016, not alone, she arrived scared but brave, dumped outside our gates with her three tiny puppies. We named her Momma for a reason. She cared for her little ones with everything she had, and thanks to her courage, all her babies found homes of their own. We still know them today. But Mama… she stayed with us. No one ever came for her, but honestly, that was their loss because she was the most amazing dog.
On the night of the 24th to the 25th of September 2025, Momma was hit by a car and left on the side of the road. We wish more than anything that she didn’t suffer. Losing her this way — it’s something none of us will ever forget. It was cruel. Undeserved. Unfair.
The mornings now feel empty. The gates are too quiet. We still look for her out of habit, expecting to see her standing there like she always did. It’s hard to accept that she’s not coming back.
Momma gave us everything she had — her love, her trust, her loyalty. We’re all feeling her absence in every corner of this place. The truth is, PACS just isn’t the same without her…
Momma gave us years of loyalty, warmth, and love. She watched over us just as much as we watched over her. Losing her has left a hole that nothing will ever fill.
We’ll keep her memory close and forever in our hearts.
We love you, Momma. 🕊️♥️
