At the beginning of July we finally said our goodbyes to Little Miss Elfie and Party Steve. 🐩🎉🐕
This unlikely duo were meant to start their journeys to their forever homes in the UK back in April, but because of Covid they were stranded in Thailand with no way home in sight. 😩
Elfie's was raised here as part of our pack, after her pervious adoption fell through. Having never known a forever family, she didn't know what she was missing and was happy here, but we knew the life that awaited her and wished her there quickly. 🙏🏾
Steve, on the other hand, had experienced a taste of the good life with his new family, when they bonded with him holidaying on the island. His hopeful new owners ached to be together again, so waited patiently and expectantly for his arrival and we could see Steve missed them just as much. 🥺
With the UK almost completely off limits, Europe restricted and closing further down with each passing day, when the opportunity arose to send Steve to Germany, his owners didn't skip a beat to stop their lives in order to welcome their baby boy home. They took leave from work, jumped in a van at 3:30am and set off across Europe, to collect their new family member. Like the awesome heroes they are, they even offered to collect and drive Elfie back to the UK with them, so she could finally be united with her new family too. 🏆
So it was game on and all systems go!!

Thanks to the covid restrictions, so many people needed to be involved in the moving of these pups and it was a long journey for them, but the love, care and compassion that they received by everyone who helped in their journey, made it so much easier.
..And what better reward then the open arms of their new families and a lifetime of belly rubs and love.
These two finally get to feel what a forever family truly means and I think it's safe to say, they'd have wished it absolutely. no. other. way. 🥰
