My darling Minx enjoying the winter rays. ❤️

She is hanging in there but sadly old age in both humans and animals is not easy. She had yet again another urine infection but I think we caught it in time.

Why do they have to grow old 💔

Happy 15th birthday to my darling Minx ❤️❤️

I know every day is precious now as I see the changes as her body ages and when she wakes me up at 4am purring and licking my face I feel joy that she still has lots of moments where she is happy.
We will know when she is too tired and life is not good anymore but until that day comes she can have all the dreamies she wants (as these are now the food source that she loves the most!).

I cannot wait to spend lots of quality time with my little old lady now and am thankful for the cooler nights which means more nighttime snuggles.

I'm so grateful for this little cat: She has loved me, made me laugh, relaxed me when I've been riddled with grief and anxiety, given me times where I have had to climb over fences and chase after her to get her back into the complex, come face to face with a snake (the one and only time I have ever seen a snake in Antalya in all the time that I've lived here) and she gave Paul a lot of comfort in his final weeks. ❤️ Oh and there was the fishing her out of the pool on more than one occasion too..

Don't ever say that a cat is just a cat!!!

I am so saddened by the deaths of two precious elephants due to floods at their sanctuary at Elephant Nature Park - a place I was so lucky to spend time volunteering at in 2014.
Right now the animals and ENP human family are displaced, mourning and desperately need to rebuild the park when the time comes.
Anything you can do to help - even prayers and healing thoughts can go a long way right now.

The severity of this flood - along with floods happening in Bangladesh and parts of the US to name just a few places is deeply concerning.
There may be those that deny it but sadly we cannot keep taking from our beautiful earth without replenishing it too.
Something has to give and sadly it is with heartbreaking consequences.

Happening in the UK - a nation of 'animal lovers' all need to demand that the facade of trail hunting - which is really a cover up for fox hunting is stopped.
The law must be enforced once and for all!!!!
Remember it's not just foxes that are terrorised and killed but pet cats too.
Then there is the cruel treatment of both the hounds and horses. These people are animal abusers and psychopaths and it is time that they get off these horses backs and leave the foxes alone. 🙏🙏

Rembering Mini the little cat torn apart by hounds that were in her garden as part of the illigal hunting that still happens in the UK.

As we look towards the new hunting season we take a moment to remember Mini the cat, who had her life taken by the cowardly Western Hunt after their hounds ran rampant through a quiet neighbourhood.

The vile pastime of hunting not only takes the lives of foxes, deer, hare and other mammals but of domestic animals too.

So many animals are caught up in the hunts’ sick games. dogs, lobsters, and all other animals are able to experience joy, pain, and fear. but unlike most other animals, lobsters aren’t able to go into shock – which means they feel every agonizing second of being boiled alive 💔 please consider showing lobsters the same compassion you show dogs by leaving them off your plate 💗🦞

Love her so very much. She knows when I'm sad or upset and is always there to give love and calm.

The word ‘someone’ is used as a term to define an individual. Animals are not objects, and they’re not inanimate possessions – they are living, breathing, conscious, sentient individuals. They have subjective experiences, and feel pleasure and happiness, fear and pain. What we do to them has a tangible effect on their experiences and on their lives.

It’s important that we view animals as individuals and recognise that when we talk about killing trillions of animals, we’re actually talking about the experiences of trillions of individuals, each being forced to endure the reality that we force upon them. Each chicken in the barn of 40,000 chickens is feeling the burning of the ammonia. Each mother pig confined in a farrowing or gestation crate is experiencing the panic and anxiety of being confined, unable to move, surrounded by metal and concrete.

The thing is, we can’t empathise with abstract concepts and amorphous masses made up of huge numbers, but we can empathise with the experience of an individual. Perhaps this is why we use demeaning language when we refer to animals? Hiding behind the facade of thinking of them as automatons, things, objects, makes it easier for us to ignore their suffering.

Alain Delon, when he was young, would dress in an army jacket - the best to warm all the puppies, which he met on his way.
Today, the 86-year-old French actor has 5 shelters for dogs and cats where these little animals collected from the street live.
"In my house there are always many dogs 🐶🏡, dogs remind me of children"
Delon has lived in Switzerland for a long time🇨🇭, and he takes care of dogs and cats.
One day, learning that some sadists in the Pyrenees had doused and set a dog on fire with gasoline, he sent his vet there, and even got the sadists prosecuted.
For the first time, a judge has ordered in judicial practice, that the victim - a dog named Mambo be present in the courtroom.
Alain Delon even tries to get the dogs their own lawyers.
By the way, the sadists who did it got pretty long terms.
Alain Delon's love for animals is from childhood.
He says that his first pet was a female Doberman named Gala.
“Once I yelled at her and even hit her tail.
She sat up and looked at me.
I saw that she was crying. 😪
Since then I understood everything, and now my dogs are always smiling”
