Squiddles Animal Foundation 4 Everyone (S.A.F.E.) is a foundation that caters for all types of animals. We provide shelter, medical assistance and homes for all types of animals in need of a home. We have dedicated the last twelve (12+) years going from street to street in search of cats that are in need of food, medical attention and shelter. All cats that are rescued are spayed or neutered. They

are then put up for adoption or live out there lives at the foundation. "Animals have feelings to.... so before you throw your old or unwanted pet on the streets or leave them in a box to die, contact one of the relevant authorities in your area, they will assist you in making the right choice".

This is the reality so many animals in need of homes. I randomly picked 80 whatsapp messages.

As promised the story of the mom and her 2 kittens.
It's important to Spay and Neuter both Cats and Dogs. The nation streets are already over populated with stray and abandon animals.
This pregnant cat was stone for bursting rubbishing bags for food. She later made 2 kittens and occasionally came to get food. Fast forward to 3 days ago.
They appeared a few days later at the apartment building where the mother was wet and 1 kitten limping and the foot was pink in colour. A few days later on I was told that the foot looked a little black. I am not sure if the kitten was hit by a human or accidentally squeezed the foot.
Note: 1. Yes a vet was contacted, 2. the mother had relocated the kittens so the kitten problem was not known until she returned with them and 3. the well wisher is not a cat person and could be kicked out of her apartment if caught feeding them.

Alot of people hate cats ...okay no problem!
I personally don't like a lot of human beings!
But they should not be cruel to them. I taught the days of throwing hot water or burning cats were a thing of the past.

For those who do not know the meaning:
Humanity... describes a person's capacity to offer care, demonstrate love, forgiveness, as well as the ability to promote genuine harmony and continuity throughout the wider human system.

Our Story

Squiddles Animal Foundation 4 Everyone (S.A.F.E.) is a Registered NGO with the Government of Trinidad and Tobago.

Squiddles Animal Foundation 4 Everyone (S.A.F.E.) was named after our first rescue Mr. Squiddles. Since then we have dedicated the last thirteen (13) years going from street to street in search of cats that are in need of food, medical attention and shelter. All cats that are rescued are spayed or neutered. They are then put up for adoption or live out there lives at the Foundation.

Squiddles is the first Cat only Foundation and Home for Cats in Trinidad and Tobago that caters for 112 Cats presently.at We provide a spay and neuter program, medical assistance, street feeding program and adoption/fostering services for cats in need of a home. We also provide a temporary NO KILL Cat Shelter.

Special Note: We strictly house only cats however, we do occasionally rescue dogs. All our programs especially the street feeding and spay and neuter programs are extended to dogs. However, we do not have any facilities for dogs so they are not housed at the Foundation.
