We were really excited that Rainer Stawikowski and Peter Ludwig from Germany selected our airbnb for the last 2 weeks as home base, while they explored and collected fish in Trinidad. Rainer has been the Editor of the German aquarium magazine Datz for over 20 years and a specialist on South American cichlids while Peter has a large collection of fresh water stingrays and also breeds them! They have done numerous expeditions in Venezuela, Suriname and Guyana and probably a few other places.

While on our site they were able to collect, photograph and release many of the 20 plus species of fresh water fish in our ponds and streams. They had access to our fish house to house some of their collected fish and we did all the introductions to the Aquaculture Unit for them to get permits to take a few fish back with them! They also spent a lot of time exploring our little ecosystem photographing the wildlife 😁

Interested in a 'fishcentric' vacation? Give us a shout !!!!
