SO WHO ARE WE AND WHAT DO WE DO?
Likharte is a company based in Taiwan founded by three university students (Yayra from the Philippines, Hash and Nahomy both from Honduras) who are specializing in Fashion and Innovation Management. Aww-Roar-A, our business, helps pet owners who also have too many clothes and don’t know what to do with them. We are an upcycling business that creates matching clothes for the owner and the pet. We offer convenience and style while reducing waste and consumption.
The name “Aww-Roar-A” is inspired by the classic fairytale “Sleeping Beauty”. Aurora, the princess, has been put into slumber, waiting to be awoken by “true love’s kiss.” Similarly unused clothes are "sleeping", waiting to be awoken by “true love’s kiss.”
First, we will have our customers reach out to us in our social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, LINE). Then, we ask the customers which garments they want to be upcycled and which style they would like to have for them and their pet. After, we take their measurements (they can come to us or we arrange a meeting in their place.) Once we’re finished taking the measurements for the customer and their pet, we will start washing the clothes provided by the client. Then, we start tracing the pattern, cut the provided clothes, and sew all the pieces together. Finally, we repackage the finished product and customers can either pick up the customized pieces or get them delivered via a third-party delivery service (i.e. 7-Eleven).
So how exactly are we making an impact? Likharte's vision is to be a pioneer in creating a circular economy. We also are striving to have little to no environmental impact while also delivering the trends to our consumers. Our goal is to utilize the already existing products, materials, and workforce we can find internationally. We are dedicated to becoming a zero-waste company, while also creating a fair and ethical world for all that are involved in the business, while also delivering profits to the stockholders.
