L.C.O is a non-profit organization which is devoted to animal rescue, blood center, free neutering tour, life education, human care program, and charity store.

L.C.O. focus its task on stray animal rescue including serious car accident, rubber band tied on the neck, animal abuse, gin trapped and other urgent conditions. The area of operation covers Taiwan and Amoy, Mainland China. The goal of L.C.O is to raise the awareness of respecting stray animal. After series of rescue missions, L.C.O started to gain public recognition and receive supports (donation

s to animal ambulance/rescue vehicle) from generous organizations and individuals. In 2009, the L.C.O rescue vehicle was rewarded road rights by the government, and was the first vehicle dedicated to animal in Taiwan. Under the principle of “life-respecting”, L.C.O recently added the humanity item including helping disadvantaged children and care for the poor and sickness. Moreover, L.C.O has been cooperated with Bureau of National Health Insurance to raise the fund to assist disadvantaged young children to receive basic medical and education rights. L.C.O is now in a transitional stage for further development in broader aspect and is actively seeking opportunities in experience sharing with other animal welfare groups from both domestic and overseas. Through valuable sharing, L.C.O hopes to bring benefits to stray animal, to further raise the animal welfare standard in Taiwan.

There are hundreds of fur babies in the Three Gorges Dog Farm and they are in urgent need of NT$88,000 to survive the crisis of forced relocation.

Today 10/24 (lunar calendar9/9), happy to see Guanyin became a monk on Memorial Day.

Today Taiwan L.O.C. Nantou branch (L.O.C. food bank), we went to the town in Renai Township Bunun, to do cats and dogs ligation. Enthusiastic response, about 90 cats and dogs underwent surgery.

About L.C.O

The primary goal of L.C.O is to raise the awareness of respecting stray animal. Our missions include rescue animals from abuse, serious accidents and other urgent conditions. We now have offices in Taiwan, Amoy, and Mainland China. After a series of successful rescues, we gained enough public attention that led to several donations from generous organizations and individuals. Using those funds, we were able to purchase our first animal rescue vehicle. In 2009, the company was awarded rights as a street ambulance by the Taiwan government and became the first animal rescue vehicle to operate in Taiwan.

Since then, our organization has taken on additional challenges to also help disadvantaged children from starvation and illness. L.C.O has now begun cooperation with the Bureau of National Health Insurance, and we plan to raise other funds to assist needy children with costs for essential medical and education services.

L.C.O is now in a transitional stage for further development in broader aspect and is actively seeking opportunities in experience sharing with other animal welfare groups from both domestic and overseas. Through valuable sharing, L.C.O hopes to bring benefits to stray animal, to further raise the animal welfare standard in Taiwan.
