Below are the most proven methods for dog owners to learn how to make a dog’s coat shiny, the solutions are likely easier than you think!
 
1. Provide a Healthy Diet.

Maintaining healthy levels of nutrients such as fatty acids (think omega-6 and omega-3) is essential to a shiny coat. These healthy fats work with other vitamins and minerals in a dog’s diet to promote healthy fur and skin, so ensure that your pup is enjoying a balanced diet each day.

You may want to try updating to a higher-quality food, switching brands, avoiding unbalanced diets, or bulking up your dog’s diet with some treats or other supplements.

2. Supplement with Omega Fatty Acids and Other Nutrients

In addition to choosing a high-quality food with well-rounded ingredients, you might also consider giving your dog fatty acid supplements in the form of treats or an edible conditioner.

3. Take Grooming Seriously

Dogs howl for many reasons. One of the reasons is yes, you're right, they are seeing ghosts or apparitions. And it doesn't necessarily have to happen at night. Many years ago when I have to relocate from Saitama to Chiba due to work commitments, I stayed with an elderly landlady for a short period of time before my service apartment was ready. Unfortunately, the lady passed away after a long battle with cancer shortly. Approximately 1 or 2 weeks after her death, when another tenant or I was alone with her faithful pet dog of 8 years in her house, this gentle canine would start to stare and howl sorrowfully at the main door for hours until another person came back to the house. Before her death, this dog rarely barked, let alone howled. It had a calm temperament, and was healthy with no ailments either. However, when the whole episode started, no amount of comforting or reprimanding were able to silent the incessant howling. It happened mostly in the evenings or daytime but never at night. Why? Probably because at night everyone was back at home, the house was filled with people, thus the energy was high and the elderly lady was not in favor of the human energy to pay a visit then. Oh yes, I believe she came back just to see the house and the dog because those were the things she missed most after her passing.

There has been a perception among many dog breeders, trainers and dog lovers that a guard dog should be kept in a cage most of the time except at night and also should not be interact with people even family members.

To us King Dawgz, dogs are part of the family, as a family we play, exercise and have fun together but also we all have a responsibility to keep our area and property safe.

Never underestimate the love of a puppy gift to a kid 🤗🐩

It's easy for kids to forget gifts like shoes, money, ice cream and watches but they will not forget living and beautiful gift like puppy. Kids and puppy love to play together.

Steps to build your dog's confidence, make him fearless and best guard dog.
1.First, you need to socialize your dog, starting at the age of 3 months and above( we will post on dogs socialization tips)
2.Teach your dog basic obedience: He will become more territorial as he learns to obey your commands while working in that area. Be sure to teach basic commands like sit, down, stay, leave it, and you should also teach him to bark on command.
3. Part of his more advanced obedience training should include teaching impulse control so that he does not have to run over, jump up, and try to play.

4. Run the property boundaries with your dog: You should do this every day at the end of your obedience lessons. Your dog will learn his territory and be familiar with the land he should be protecting

5.Leave your dog alone in the area he needs to guard: when your dog is trained and old enough to be confident (usually about 8 months for most dogs) start teaching him to guard the house.

6.Have someone stranger come up and make some noise: If you have left him in the front yard, for example, the person can come up and knock on the fence. This needs to be a person that the dog is not familiar with. (If your dog smells the person and it is someone he knows the training session will be of no benefit)

7.When the dog approaches and barks, the person needs to make a sound like they are frightened and run off: All you are doing at this point is increasing the dog's confidence

8.You need practice this in different areas (not only home)When the dog is barking stranger should act scared, makes noise and runs off. You praise your dog and give him treat.

9. If your dog is showing fear when the “stranger” approaches and makes noise, you are probably taking things too fast for your dog. But dont stop (try the exercise again the next day, with a different stranger)

10.Mind that not all dogs are suited for this. Dog's breed, temperament, size and healthy can have impact on dog's confidence and his ability to work as guard dog so be carefully when buying a dog.
