The red grouse is a medium-sized game bird. It has a short tail and a lightly hook-tipped bill. It is reddish-brown, with its legs and feet covered in pale feathers. Birds breed in the UK in the uplands of the north and west and are resident all year round, travelling very little in their lives. The population is declining, perhaps linked to diseases and the loss of heather moorland.

The razorbill is a medium-sized seabird. It is black above and white below. It has a thick black beak which is deep and blunt, unlike the thinner bill of the similar guillemot. It breeds around the coast of the UK, with the largest colonies in northern Scotland. There are none breeding between the Humber and the Isle of Wight. Birds only come to shore to breed and winter in the northern Atlantic. The future of this species is linked to the health of the marine environment. Fishing nets, pollution and declining fish stocks all threaten the razorbill.

Творожный "торфяной" пирог

Творожный "торфяной" пирог получается очень нежным и вкусным. Готовится просто, из доступных продуктов. Если Вы не съедите его в первый день, то на второй он станет ещё вкуснее.

Для приготовления творожного торфяного пирога нам понадобится:
250 г сливочного масла;
350 г сахара;
0,5 кг домашнего творога;
10 г ванильного сахара;
400 г пшеничной муки (+ 3 ст. л. в начинку);
4 яйца;
100 г жирной сметаны;
4 ст. л. какао-порошка.

150 грамм сахара растираем с мягким сливочным маслом.

К полученной масляной массе добавляем муку, какао и тщательно перемешиваем. Половину получившейся шоколадной крошки выкладываем в разъёмную форму, застеленную пекарской бумагой.

В отдельной ёмкости творог смешиваем с оставшимися 200 граммами сахара, яйцами и сметаной. Взбиваем на медленной скорости в комбайне, затем добавляем ванильный сахар и 3 столовые ложки муки.

Выкладываем на слой шоколадной крошки творожный слой.

Затем равномерно насыпаем оставшуюся шоколадную крошку.

Выпекаем творожный торфяной пирог 45 минут в разогретой духовке при температуре 190 градусов. Затем даём остыть, режем на порции и подаём к столу нежнейшее лакомство.

This is a small, black crow with a distinctive silvery sheen to the back of its head. The pale eyes are also noticeable. The jackdaw call is a familiar hard 'tchack' from which it gets its name. It will commonly nest in chimneys, buildings, rock crevices and tree holes.
