We are very happy to share that this beautiful trio who arrived at the SPCA after their owner sadly passed away unexpectedly a few weeks ago, have found a new home TOGETHER ❤️ Their former owner clearly loved them very much so it was heartbreaking to think all three may not be able to stay together as that is the sad reality sometimes. A wonderful couple who’d lost their bonded pair recently met them and the rest is history. We are so grateful for this outcome and to everyone who shared their story.

The dog recognizes the owner of the one who spends a lot of time with it. For a dog, the owner is a family member who feeds, treats, walks, plays and trains. The dog chooses a leader who is strict, calm and predictable. The pet notices how other family members treat each other.

Jerry was so happy to hang out with our front desk staff yesterday! This beautiful lab has us wrapped around his little paw-I mean, who could resist those big brown puppy dog eyes ❤️ Jerry is currently for adoption and is basically the perfect addition to any family, so stop in any day between noon and 4!

The Labrador has many qualities for which he is loved: intelligence, ease of training and the ability to be an excellent companion. Labradors are strongly built, strong dogs.

It was originally bred as a hunting gun dog. Labradors are used for hunting, as guide dogs, rescue dogs, but mainly as companions. The breed originates on the island of Newfoundland on the east coast of Canada.
