Public Notice:

We’ve received word about a c**n dog that was sadly found passed away on Highway 72, heading from Greenwood, near the Country Meadows area. We’re unsure of the dog’s gender or whether it has an owner nearby, but we’re sharing this in hopes of finding them.

The dog is not at the shelter; we were contacted about this just a few minutes ago. Please help us spread the word to ensure the family is informed.

Loki’s story breaks our hearts—this sweet 2-year-old boy was suspected to be dumped at Jim Rampey boat ramp last Sunday, and he’s been struggling ever since.

Loki is a shepherd mix with a heart full of love, but the kennel life is too much for him. He’s so desperate to be free that he’s been climbing out of his kennel and scaling the walls of the runs. For his safety, Loki is now in a closed room, but this isn’t ideal for him either—he’s anxious and even trying to chew at the walls.

Loki is sweet, loving, and just wants a family to call his own. He will be fully vetted and ready to give you his whole heart. If you’ve been looking for a loyal companion, Loki is waiting for you!

Our shelter is at max capacity, and we desperately need help from our community to keep going. With an overwhelming number of animals in our care, including a massive influx of puppies being dumped, we are in urgent need of fosters and adopters to give these animals the homes they deserve.

💔 Every kennel is full, and every day, more animals are coming in. Without your help, we can’t continue to save lives.

This sweet boy has been waiting for a home since September 25, 2024, and shelter life is starting to take its toll on him. Mylo is a 3-year-old, 55-pound lovebug who’s been fully vetted, is heartworm negative, and absolutely thrives with other dogs!

Mylo’s a goofy soul who’s ready to leave the chaos of the shelter behind – the screaming puppies, the constant noise – and finally find a peaceful place where he can relax, listen to birds chirp, and enjoy life with a loving human by his side. This handsome pup was brought to us after being seen abandoned on Pinehurst in Abbeville. Thankfully, he is now safe, warm, and dry at the shelter instead of out in this rainy weather. We are deeply grateful to his finders for stepping up, capturing footage, and ensuring he got to safety.

While animal control will address the situation surrounding his abandonment, our focus now is on giving this sweet boy the fresh start he deserves.

He’s a little shy at first but warms up quickly and shows his sweet, gentle nature. Could your home be his second chance?
