As some of you know we reside at Hay Burner Ranch today we had the honor of helping them freeze brand their horses. There are horror stories of horses being stolen and that’s the last thing we want to risk when these horses have already been through so much in their lives. All of HBR’s horses came from starvation cases or slaughter trucks that needed a safe place to land and be loved. Now they can insure they won’t ever loose a horse to a thief. Just like we did with all our horses that have gone through rough times as well. Please if you have nothing nice to say don’t say it. If you’re uneducated please ask questions we are both happy to answer.

Cowboy just didn’t look right this morning. Upon further inspection his ear was cut open. Not sure how the heck he did it besides maybe on some ton off his shelters 😬 we got him straight to the vet and stitched up. Poor guys ears gonna hurt for a little while since it cut so deep. He will probably always have a droopy ear now but that’s okay. RJ Ashby

First breeding is on the calendar. Hope she takes. Smores gave us a beautiful doeling this spring that’s a keeper and will never leave the farm. So excited to see what she will throw spring 2025! March 28th is her due date as of now.

A great ride yesterday with some good people! Saw a rattle snake, razzy didn’t like the train 🤦🏼‍♀️ lots of steep hills. But we survived!

Been waiting forever to start kimchi. I’m finally doing it. She will be 3 in May 2025. She’s definitely going to be a short little mustang but she’s got the heart!

Posse state competition went well! It was so much fun such a great experience! I’m so thankful for friends with amazing horses. Razzy couldn’t be used anymore due to some complications right before competition. But we got her all fixed up now!
