*****UPDATE MIDNIGHT HAS BEEN FOUND AND IS REUNITED WITH HIS FAMILY****** Again I profusely apologize to everyone that this occured, thank you to everyonethat got the word out.

****I will soon be posting new policies and procedures that will be followed religiously. This will never happen again at my salon. *******

Due to an immediate foul odor, for sanitary reasons I opened the shop door to set the trash on the porch. At 5pm on 6/1/2023 a new client's dog bolted through the door and I was unable to secure him. He was the only dog in the shop, and it was a severe misjudgement on my part to not have him kenneled during this short time.

Many resources have been exhausted and I am absolutely devastated by the situation. I am deeply sorry to the family and the Grays Harbor community for not keeping this baby safe. I can only imagine what the family is going through and I am doing everything I can to help locate their Midnight.

I have thought over the situation endlessly and I have multiple measures immediately taken to ensure this will never happen again.

Please understand that this is an emotional time for everyone involved, and as such comments will be turned off for this post. I ask people to reach out only if they believe to have any information that can lead to Midnight's safe return.

I have included two photos below: one is from the owners, the other is my before photo of Midnight during his appointment. His haircut is unfinished, so currently his body is shaved, and his head is ungroomed. The first photo best represents his current appearance. He is microchipped.

Please keep Midnight and his family in your prayers.

Sometimes, it's not about getting that perfect, beautiful haircut. It's about showing a dog that grooming doesn't have to be a big scary event.

I had 3 pups today who's owners came to me asking for help, as their previous groomer had severely scolded them on their dog's behavior.

That's not fair. Dogs are living beings with their own feelings and personalities, and unfortunately it seems a lot of people are unwilling to respect that. It's not always on the owner that their dog acts up, usually out of fear.

So, I left my pups at home today, kept the shop quiet, and worked on these 3 dogs one on one. They were feisty, went home choppy, and took a lot longer than my usual grooms, but that's okay.

Everyone went home tails wagging, with lots of love and a little less fear for our next visit. These 3 were very challenging, but I look forward to continuing working with them and seeing them grow❤️
