Holidays are often busy and things get missed.

Don’t forget to make sure your pet is up to date on vaccines before, so if they need to be boarded, they are current and you aren’t scrambling☺️

Boarding facilities require dogs to be current on Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella 🐶 and cats to be current on Rabies and Distemper 🐱

***Animal Care Clinic does offer boarding to cats, call if you would like to schedule for the upcoming holidays***

As we all know, winter is right around the corner⛄️ With that being said, most of us stop giving our pets their flea & tick prevention but did you know that fleas survive all year long?!

Right now, fleas are looking for a warm body to latch onto for the cold wintey months. Do not let them take residence in your home or on your pets this fall and winter! 🛑

Stop out to pickup your prevention because no one loves a free loader!

Did you know that at any age dogs and cats can contract intestinal parasites?

Giardia and Coccidia are two of the main parasites that can cause significant harm to your pet if left untreated!

Animals pickup these parasites by eating the eggs of the parasite, which includes but not limited to; picking up things with their mouths on walks, licking their paws after being outside, or even grooming other animals.

Diarrhea is a major sign, but not wanting to eat or drink could indicate that your animal has been infected. This is why routine testing is necessary to protect your fur babies!

Call the clinic today for more information (605) 229-1691 or drop off a f***l sample and we will send it to our outsource lab.

**The clinic will be open Friday August 30th for technician appointments and medication refills but no Dr in the office**

Librela testimony:

My Nicky is a 13 year old rescue dog that was found running free as a puppy. After a few years of having her, I noticed she started limping on her front leg. X-rays showed an old unknown injury, the journey of pain management began. We started with just 1 oral pain medication, then increased to 2 oral medications and finally had to add a pain injection (not Librela) to help her manage. She was also on a daily joint supplement.

Once Librela came out, I elected to try that. After 1 injection, I was able to take her off all other pain medications and she is only on a joint supplement and the Librela injection. She’s now able to run and play with other dogs without showing signs of pain!

Nicky and I are both very happy with Librela.
