We’re not meant to be something we’re not, Cowgirl. We’re not meant for cubicles and configured confines. We’re not meant to leave our authentic selves to become someone the world thinks we should be. We’re not made for pretending and staying places that don’t have horses and wide open skies. We’re not made to always be wives, mothers, lovers or even the best friend. Maybe a white picket fence is good for others, but barbed wire and sagebrush corrals are more your style. If red paintbrush and purple lupine suit you better than a dozen roses, I hope your horizon is full of them. Maybe your granddaddy’s rig, heeler pup, range c**t, and Mama’s well-worn Bible are your prized possessions. Maybe you’ve tried, really gave the “real” world some hell, but it just wasn’t a fit. Whatever trails call to you, Cowgirl, I hope you never leave yourself again. Because you can’t ignore what pulls at your heart; you’ll never be better being someone else other than who you really are right now. You’re too good at being beautiful just the way you are- a little wild, a little gypsy, and a whole lot of amazing. You don’t deserve the tattered remnants of a life not of your choosing; you deserve a fulfilling one made up of your God given gifts, misgivings, and triumphs. So, don’t leave yourself, Cowgirl. You, and this ol’ world deserve your truth❤️
Happy Trails, Always ~
