Good morning USA!
WEST RIVER deer opener I see and hear(phone is ringing) is a great success. As is archery deer and elk hunting. This was the year to have a elk license in the Black Hills.
Roger's Taxidermy Studio is open for business, 8-6 M-F or by appointment. I'm hunting myself so a phone call is a good start, 605-225-5596. 605-290-0463 if you can not reach me at studio number. You can also leave me a message.
I have received all but 3 deer capes from tannery and diligently mounting deer, taking in and prepping new specimens as well.
I appreciate all for your patience. Covid and supply dilemma affected my business also.
EAST RIVER deer opener is this Saturday. Weather will be nice. I wish all hunters a successful and safe hunt.
Remember, safety on until shooting.

With pheasant season in full swing I wish you all a safe and fun season. The wild bird reports are mixed from poor to so so but don't let it dampen your spirits. Enjoy the outdoors, family and friends.

34 years doing taxidermy and a pheasant crop just full of grasshoppers is a first. Usually have corn, beans, millet or some other seeds.
My tannery is behind returning deer capes so I'm behind mounting deer. Thanks for your patience, they will get done. I've been busy skinning and fleshing elk and deer and mounting last year's pheasants.

Business has really picked up the last few weeks. Seasons in full swing, archery Pronghorn, archery Deer, archery Elk, rifle Elk, preserve Pheasants. This weekend will be our general pheasant season opener.
Roger's Taxidermy Studio is open 8-6 M-F or by appointment. Weekends just call studio number, 605-225-5596. If I don't answer leave a message on my machine. I could be hunting/fishing myself.
Enjoy yourself in the field and be careful. There are plenty of Badger holes out there.

Good luck to all archery Pronghorn hunters. September 1st archery deer opens. If you get a velvet antlered one get it to me ASAP and do not twist on the velvet. Time is critical.

It's safe to say I've been busy! It's exciting to work on so many different species from different countries. Now there's more places to go visit with the rifle.😃 Today some airbrushing till mid afternoon then off to the trailer at New Evarts for some fishing. Check out the fangs on the Muntjac from England.

Now that I'm back in the studio full weeks, my new knee is doing great. It is busy busy playing catch up. Here are a few things done, getting done and in process.
Northern fishing has started with success at the river. Shore fishing walleye I hear is good. Soon people soon the ramps will be in. Enjoy.
