Let’s talk about joint health! As your pet ages, you may notice they are slower to get up, maybe not as active, limping etc. Joint health starts with weight management, but there are other things that can help. We recommend starting your fur friend on a joint supplement around 7 years of age. Our favorite joint supplements are Dasuquin and Yumove which are available in our clinic! Omega 3 fatty acids are also great for joints and hair coat! Schedule your pets mobility consultation today!

It is Parvovirus season. We see the number of PARVO patients increase in the spring time. Learning to catch the symptoms early can help but the best way to prevent this virus is to start vaccines at 6-8 weeks, 12 weeks and 16 weeks of age, then once a year after.

Meet Rafiki! This sweet boy was rescued after being hit by a car. He had part of his tail amputated and has some injuries to his leg and hip. He's been getting lots of love and socialization with the doctors and technitions here, but he deserves a forever home! It is possible he will require further surgery on his leg in the future, but so far he is recovering very well. If you would like adopt Rafiki please reach out to us and we can set up a meet and greet. # kitten

As we all know, here in Texas we have an abundance of mosquitos. It takes 4-6 months for the baby heartworm to be detected by a blood test after infection.
