💙 Still Hoping & Wishing for Amelio! 💙

Amelio is still waiting for his perfect family, and we are still hoping and wishing that his time at the shelter transitions into the loving home he truly deserves. As our official "longest stay" pup, he carries this title with some sadness—but we just know his forever family is out there!

Amelio has grown up with us, spending half of his life in the shelter—and honestly, it’s a little heartbreaking for us. 💔 We’ve watched him grow, play, and love every person and pup he meets. But what we really want is to see him go home.

Our amazing Vet Team wanted to give Amelio the best chance possible, so we have fixed his cherry eye in hopes that he’ll appeal to more adopters. Just look at that before and after! 😍 This sweet boy is ready to turn the page and start his next chapter with you.

🎉 Celebrating a MAJOR Milestone! 🎉

We are beyond thrilled to announce that All Kind Animal Initiative has officially achieved No-Kill Status for the very first time! 🎉🐾

But what does that mean? It means that 90% or more of the animals we care for are saved, with the ultimate goal being that no adoptable pet is ever euthanized simply due to lack of space or resources. This is a huge accomplishment for our team, our community, and every animal we’ve helped along the way.

While we celebrate this incredible milestone, the work is not done. We need the community’s continued support to maintain this status and ensure we can keep saving lives. January brought us record numbers in intake, but thanks to the support of our amazing community, we also saw more dogs being reclaimed by their owners than ever before! 🐶👏 It’s proof that when we come together, we can make a difference.

A few ways you can continue to support us:

- Microchip your pets!
Ensuring they’re microchipped helps get them back home safely and keeps them out of the shelter system.
- Adopt, don’t shop!
We have amazing animals still waiting for their forever homes.
- Foster!
Opening your home can save a life, and we saw a HUGE increase in fosters last month—thank you! But we still need more to keep up with the demand.

Together, we’ve done so much, but the journey continues.
