Meet Harriet. Over the past nine months, Harriet has become something of a celebrity around VCA Highlands, due to her feisty attitude and relentless spirit. She came to us through Happy Tails Animal Rescue and now belongs to Caitlin, one of our Client Service Representatives.
Harriet's journey has been a long and complicated one. It began with a flea/tick infestation, double hernia surgery, and a diagnosis of immune-mediated polyarthritis. Her primary doctor, Dr. Hendley, got her through all of those hurdles, and now here we are, with Harriet walking for the first time in months, if not years, thanks to the assistance of Dr. Graham and Underwater Treadmill therapy. It has truly been a group effort getting Harriet to this moment, proving that with the right team and the best care, anything is possible!

Mazey had a successful knee surgery recently at Jones Animal Hospital. She was hesitant to use her legs afterward, which can be common. She was referred to us for Physical Rehab. Here's a video of her first session with Dr. Graham. Come back tomorrow for exciting follow ups! We welcome referrals from other hospitals for physical rehab and will work with your veterinarian, whether here or at another clinic, to tailor a program best suited to your pet's recovery.
We’re so proud of our Associates, who work so hard to care for your pets, and take care of the future of veterinary medicine every day. Thank you for being part of our story.
