The weather forecast next week, starting 1/20, is calling for below average temps with lows around 20-25 degrees🥶🥶. A couple of my heaters for the kitty cottages are not putting out the heat they used to. The same for a couple of heating pads. Unfortunately, they don’t last forever. I’m hoping to be able to replace them before next week. I’m also desperately low on cat litter (and everything else, really). I know it’s Christmas time and money is probably tight for everyone but I am almost out of some essential supplies. Kenzie is begging for any help. Most critical items are cat litter, laundry detergent (kitty laundry never ends), paper towels, dish detergent, and flea prevention. Of course, food is always welcome. Puffin’s Place is a “small” cat sanctuary/rescue. At any given time there are at least 25 cats being cared for that are permanent sanctuary residents. They are cats that are feral, have behavior or health problems, or for whatever reason were never considered for adoption. We also do TNR to help with overpopulation of feral and community cats. Sometimes we take in kittens from feral colonies that can be tamed and adopted into loving homes. Even though we are a smaller sanctuary/rescue we still go through over 150 lbs of cat food a month as well as hundreds of pounds of cat litter. Then there is the cost of basic routine medical such as vaccines, dewormer, flea prevention and Felv/FIV testing. Not to mention emergency medical costs that always pop up. It all adds up quickly and the only way we can continue to help the homeless cats in our care is with your help.

Thank you all for your support through the years. It’s tough to keep going sometimes but it wouldn’t even be possible without YOU!

FINALLY!! I started the process of trapping 13 cats on Oct. 9. I had all of them, EXCEPT this one, within 10 days. Some of the kittens I have for adoption are hers and I knew it wouldn’t be long before she had more. So, I just couldn’t give up. Thank you, STDAS for the use of a drop trap. It still took a couple days but I wouldn’t have been able to get her any other way.

Well, one of the cats I’m trying to trap has 3 kittens. I’ve been crawling around under a trailer for the last 2 days trying to get them. Finally got one today.
