Fun change up from our usual fall preg checking 🐷.Weston farrowed his first litter of show pigs last December. Happy to report his swine operation will be expanding as the sow and 2 of the daughters he raised are bred for litters in 2025. At SVC we truly enjoy helping area youth excel with their livestock & equine projects!

Student spotlight🌟 Lauren Skoglund
4th year Vet student at the University of Minnesota who recently spent 2 weeks at SVC.

* Career Goal: Work in a rural mixed animal practice out west or Montana.

* Favorite Case: Lame bull with toe-tip necrosis, extracting a bone fragment to allow him to heal & hopefully return to breeding next season.

*Most Valuable Takeaways: Improvement in cattle pregnancy diagnosis and the exposure to the culture, communication and set-up we have at our clinics which she says she hopes to emulate wherever she ends up.
