Only Maine Coons Rescue OMC! Rescue (Only Maine Coons Rescue) is a licensed non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization. We rescue Maine Coon mixes from shelters and unwanted situations.

We are a 100% volunteer - run, breed - specific rescue group that specializes in the Maine Coon cat breed. On occasion, we rescue purebred (PB) Maine Coon cats (meaning the cat has papers registering it as a purebred). Our cats are lovingly cared for in Foster homes until placed into their forever homes. Although we cannot guarantee the percentage of Maine Coon in each cat that we rescue, we ensur

Located in Blairstown NJ Martini update. He was finally released from crate jail, he was neutered, had X-rays (pelvis healed) and bloodwork. He does have herpes virus and will have off and on leaky eye. The best news is that he has gained almost 3 lbs in 5 weeks. Thank you to everyone who sent in the delectables bisque as he absolutely loves it. He still gets is 2 x a day on top of his regular food. This 10 month old is amazing. Martini is now available@for adoption on our website site www.omcrescue.org

Martini our newest foster (broken pelvis) has had some bumps since being in foster care. He has been on cage rest to help heal his pelvis. He went to a specialist and luckily he does not need surgery. He has some parasites(and diarrhea) and now has a cold. He has not been eating and his WBC has been getting higher and higher (we are testing blood weekly) we did a PCR test as meds do not seem to be helping. His appetite is low. He is emaciated and should be eating everything in front of him but that’s not happening. He does like delectables bisque and eats that every time offered (we did receive one box from our Amazon wish list but it’s almost gone)

He does not give up and is feisty during vet visits/bloodwork/xrays/and sanitary shaves which results in sedation. He lovingly accepts attention, head scratches and will rub along your body whenever possible. We can’t hold for snuggles yet, but can’t wait to do so once he’s healed

Meet Martini! He is 9 months old and was hit by a car. He ended up in the shelter with a broken pelvis a week ago. We now have him safe in foster care (thanks Helania and Ron) He goes to the vet tomorrow and we will find out our next steps with him - hopefully it will not be surgery. He needs a lot of TLC and lots of food - Thank you to everyone who filled our supply shelves

Doink

3 lives saved yesterday Doink has arrived and is doing well. Yes that is a paper bowl around his head. ( the shelter sent him in it) He can’t lick his wounds. I ordered a new headpiece from Amazon. He will be going to my vet and most likely some specialists. (If you would like to support Doink and his future medical care please donate below) I grabbed 2 other adult cats while there. They will be posted soon with their stories
