This Pet Dental Month we wanted to share some firsthand feedback from pet owners who have noticed a positive impact from having a dental cleaning done performed for their pet! 🦷🐶

Below is a testimonial from one of our pet parents who explains just how much of an impact a dental cleaning had on her pet:

“This is my senior golden potato Toby, and back on Halloween of this past year he had a major dental with Great Road and Dr. Wu’s amazing team! This is Toby’s third dental since his adoption at ten years of age, and I’m writing this to shed light on why keeping up with your pet's dental health is so imperative to their overall health, no matter their size or age! Before Toby’s dental he had been struggling for several months with gum swelling, discomfort and an overall painful mouth. He wasn’t acting like himself, he was lethargic, and would seldom take a hard treat from me. But since his dental in the fall, Toby has been acting like himself again, he’s no longer struggling with mouth pain, he has his spunky energy back, and he is overall doing so much better than before his dental! He might be down a few more teeth, but he is feeling younger than ever at sixteen years of age! And while a dental can’t fix everything, it sure made Toby that much more healthy, happy, and comfortable as he enjoys his golden years with us! Thank you to everyone at Great Road and Dr. Wu’s incredible team for making his procedure as stress and worry free as possible, and for helping my little golden potato feel so much better!”

Watch Bella, one of our veterinary assistants, practice drawing blood from a jugular vein! The jugular vein is one that is commonly used to quickly and efficently draw blood. It’s so important to check your pet’s blood yearly to ensure that they are as healthy on the inside as they appear on the outside. We recommend running yearly wellness panels on our patients to track trends in kidney and liver values, white and red blood cell counts, as well as infectious disease screening. We always do our best to make blood draws as stress free as possible for our patients which includes giving lots of pats and treats as shown here by Bella! ❤️🦴
