We can hardly contain our excitement…

We have officially received our 501(c)(3) tax-empt non-profit status!!

This is a process we have been working on, and it can be hard to prioritize paperwork and administrative work when let’s be honest.. we would all rather be with our rabbits.. and we can not skimp out on their care and enrichment. But, the hard part is done.

Rocky Coast Rabbit Rescue and Sanctuary is Maine’s only solely rabbit focused rescue, and we are looking forward to the doors that our non-profit status will open for us to do this work effectively throughout our state.

Luna is super friendly. Loves to be petted, but does not like to be picked up. She is a larger bunny. Has always been great with kids. She Loves to free roam and loves to run. She is litter box trained and has always been great about using it. She isn’t a fan of other rabbits. She is quiet, but will let you know when she wants to go to bed and have the lights off.
We have had her for about 4 1/2 years and she was estimated to be 2-3 when we got her

Though we've been shut down for several years, my heart will always be with rabbit rescue. I'm sharing the link to my new children's book, "The Story of Roscoe," my beloved boy who came to me through The Rabbit Cabinet.

The Story of Roscoe is a tale of love and friendship based on the real life adventures of a rescue rabbit who learned how to trust with the help of the family dog.

Meet Jack! Jack is a sweet, 4-year-old neutered male rabbit with a gentle and loving personality. While he can be a little shy at first, he warms up quickly and is incredibly friendly once he feels comfortable. Jack has a calm demeanor, is non-aggressive, and would be a wonderful companion in a caring home.

They are litter trained and friendly. They are a bonded pair. Would do great with older kids.

Cinabon is looking for her forever home.
She was recently rescue after being dumped outside and left to fend for herself. Her vet appointment is upcoming but she appears to be quite healthy.
She is extremely friendly and loves attention, has good litter box habits, and a great appetite.
All rabbits posted on our page must be kept indoors only. The expectation is to house them indoors in either a large x-pen with several hours of exercise daily or completely free roam.

LOLA IS LOOKING FOR A FOREVER HOME:
We are so sad, but due to severe allergies, we must find a home for our bunny, Lola.
She is 3 years old, and spayed, located in Kennebunk, Maine- but willing to travel for the best home. She is free roaming, inside only bunny. We leave her door open night and day, but she does not leave her room. She has a sweet personality, has never nipped and loves company and attention. She is litter box trained. She does not love to be picked up.
We are looking for a home that will spoil her, and allow her space to roam.

This rabbit wandered onto a property on Old Portland Road in the Lake Arrowhead community on May 20. Appears to be a young male, not certain if neutered, and also not positive that this is not a female but will attempt to determine that. He is very friendly, can be picked up and held without struggling. He has an excellent appetite, and needs a loving home!

Hi everyone, I wanted to update the fundraiser, and say a big thank you to everyone who donated or shared the fundraiser.
We are a little over 1/3 of the way to our goal . We were able to get our livestock trailer, which is huge in moving all the animals, and have enough left for new tires and a light kit for break lights and signals. Any money after that will be used for the cow and donkey shelter, and all new fencing for all 60 animals . Again, the Misfit Farm family appreciates all of you, and your support, during this move to our new location.
