Donations, sponsorships, and adopting horses greatly helps our cause. Our passion for horses can be seen in the numerous horses we have successfully transitioned. Since 2005 Fahnestock Ranch has continued to place an ever growing amount of unwanted horses into loving forever homes. With your support and help we have continued this mission to help more horses and people in need. In order to help fu

nd the ever increasing costs of the care for these animals we also offer various equine activities at your home, your horses place of residence, or other pre planned locations throughout Southern CA. including trail riding, riding lessons, horse training, pony birthday parties, horse hauling, and much more. All donations and funds go directly back into our successful rescuing, training, and rehabilitating, unwanted, starving and neglected horses and re-homing them with happy families. In 2014 we incorporated and have been recognized as a charitable organization, receiving our 501(c)(3) status. We are 100% volunteer organization and are constantly looking for like minded individuals that are willing to give back, and donate their valuable time alongside us to help in this growing need. We have enjoyed this charity work so much and know that it touches everyone involved with volunteering as well as the recipients of our hard work. Working together side-by-side, special needs person, horse, and volunteer, create a strong united bond which stimulates, and creates a learning, and physically rewarding environment like no other and is the ultimate source of therapy for so many ailments in children and adults. Please join us in helping the thousands of people and horses in need of care and support. We look forward to hearing from you in how we can farther make a difference in the world around us.

These two beautiful, friendly boys are looking for a loving forever home. Patches is a sweet 13H Appy, 1 year old gelding. Marley is a beautiful 3 year old Palomino gelding 14H with dorsal stripe. They are both current on vaccines, feet, and wormer. They trailer, tie, pick up feet, go over bridges, through water, and know their groundwork. They both love people, and get along well with other horses, dogs, goats, sheep, cows, etc. Excellent loving homes a must. Please make an offer.

This beauty is still looking for his new forever home. Ranger is a sweet 12 year old Gelding all black, we believe he is a mix between Tennessee Walker, Friesian, Morgan, and Thoroughbred is our best guess. He is very proud with head always held high but very respectful and listens. He is well trained and knows his job as a reliable trail riding horse and also does well in the arena. Anyone can ride him, including kids. He is good for the farrier, trailers great and is an all around good horse with experienced horse people. He can be a little overly friendly / pushy with beginners on the ground. He is barefoot with big sound feet. check out more photos and info. on our website at www.fahnestockranch.com

Ranger was transported back to the ranch today! He just had to show off his hospital scars! We are so happy to have him back from the hospital and his surgery behind us. He has handled the entire ordeal extremely well and is feeling much better already. While he is recovering and on stall rest for the next 10 days volunteers will be administering his pain medication and taking him on short walks. Ranger will be available for adoption to his forever home shortly. If anyone is looking for a gentle riding horse please consider coming out to see this beautiful guy. Thanks to everyone who has supported him through this chapter of his life, he is forever grateful. If you are considering donating towards his hospital fees please do so as every dollar makes a difference. https://www.gofundme.com/rescue-horse-needs-surgery

Rangers surgery today went extremely well and we are so grateful for the excellent job performed by Dr. Sullivan and his medical staff. Here are photos of Ranger arriving at the hospital and during his surgery procedure. We are looking forward to having him back at the ranch in a few days once he has fully recovered and is released from the hospital. Funds are still needed to cover the costs of his procedure, donations on Rangers GoFundMe page are greatly appreciated. We are extremely grateful for everyone that has given of their time and resources to help this gentle giant.

Thank you to everyone who has donated so far towards Rangers much needed immediate surgery. This horse was tossed away and found wondering the Antelope Valley Desert, he needs to know that someone cares. We have been on the phones and sending urgent e-mails for anyone that may be able to assist. We appreciate all that are able to help in any way. We are still several thousand short but believing in god that this is the right thing to do for this horse. His surgery has been scheduled for this Monday 3/11/2019, we will be transporting him to the hospital on Sunday evening and the surgery on Monday will take place around 10:00 am. There is a viewing area for all that would like to come and support Ranger and watch the estimated 2 hour surgery it should be very educational as well. The West Coast Equine Hospital address is 4310 Sand Canyon Road, Somis, CA. We will be leaving the Acton ranch at 7:30 am on Monday for anyone that would like to carpool with us. A big Thank You to Dr. Kent Sullivan who has so graciously donated his time and medical expertise for this procedure. If you can donate or know anyone who can donate towards this worthy cause please do so. Here is his go fund me link https://www.gofundme.com/rescue-horse-needs-surgery. He also needs a loving forever home if you or someone you know is looking for a gentle, kind, riding horse.

Ranger is a black 12 year old Tennessee Walker gelding who was found wandering the Antelope Valley desert in rough condition and with a medical disorder called paraphimosis (meaning his p***s cannot retract). He was taken to the Lancaster shelter, where he was soon turned over to Fahnestock Ranch...
