One highlight of the summer is that the friendliest of my colony cats - Luka - found herself a home!

Unfortunately, I couldn't do the long introduction to the indoors that I normally do with my colony cats because a neighbor's aggressive dog had been terrorizing my cats, so I wanted to get the one most suited to indoor life into a home ASAP.

As such, she was very shy when she went to go live with a friend of mine. Fortunately, he was a very patient cat dad, and after three weeks of her hiding under his bed, she came up to him for pets and is now a snuggle monster.

Here she is in the special nest that he made for her - a cuddly blanket on top of a heating pad, right in front of the best window around.

So happy for the both. :)

Foster update - both of my foster kittens, Riker and Troi, have both been adopted (I promise Troi is happy despite her Resting Tortie Face)! I'm so proud of these babies and so happy for their new familes.

Fostering for Pounce De Leon has been a joy and I'm expecting to get another batch of kittens soon. :)

Welp, I know it's been a while since I posted - I'm terrible with social media management - but I've continued being busy through my summer!

In addition to managing my own cat colony, I've started working with an Atlanta-area rescue group called Pounce De Leon (I love these rescue names).

Since mid-June I've been lucky enough to foster some kittens. Meet Riker (orange tabby) and Troi (tortoisehell), two of the sweetest kittens you'll ever meet!

I'm excited to tell y'all that they are going to their first-ever adoption event tomorrow (Sat, 8/24)! It will be at the Howell Mill, Atlanta Petco from 11am-4pm. Even better, an anonymous donor has chipped in to take a lot of money off of the adoptions, so they'll be discounted!

If anyone is looking for kittens, please feel free to check them out tomorrow. They are incredibly friendly, snuggly, and love to play! They were born outside and had to battle a hard viral illness at a young age, but they've stayed sweet and loving through all of that. I'm so proud of them and I really hope they find their furever homes tomorrow!

Hi everybody! I know it's been a while - doing social media for a page is an experience I'm still learning. ^.^'

The past few months have had their ups and downs. For the downs, some of my neighbors have suddenly started letting their dogs free-roam my neighborhood, and at least one has been attacking the cats in my colony. While I'm working with Animal Control for a solution, at least three of my cats have been killed in the past few weeks, and one of them - Tamara - suffered a bad enough wound that I had to catch him and take him to a surgical vet.

Fortunately he's ok now, but it did wind up costing over $700. I've launched a gofundme and am blown away by the amazing response (you raised $285!), but if anyone else would like to donate or share, the link is here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/my-cat-has-a-hole-in-his-neck-promenade-special-edition?attribution_id=sl:96a0f8d2-2bd2-4df9-8e45-a0b3635aa1f2&utm_campaign=man_ss_icons&utm_medium=customer&utm_source=copy_link

In much better news, I might need to change my profile picture because Ezri has officially been adopted! She's enjoying her new home and family, and I couldn't be happier for her.

I also have Luka in a hopefully-forever home! Luka was shy but really became social over the past few months, even coming inside a few times. Unfortunately, due to the danger of the dog attacks, I couldn't do my normal slow introduction to the indoors. As such, she's still painfully shy at her new home, but fortunately she has a very patient cat dad, so I'll try to keep y'all updated on her progress.

Finally, I've started doing something I've been curious about for a few years now: I'm fostering kittens for a rescue!

Brought to you by Pounce De Leon rescue, we have adventurous orange boi Riker, calm tortie Troi, and energetic grey tuxedo Worf (yes, I also got the honor of naming them).
