Say what you mean, and MEAN what you say! 💚
This is a great read and only takes a couple of minutes.

By Ness Jones. The Power of Praise We often underestimate the power of praise, but in my opinion, it's one of the most meaningful and impactful things you can do or say to a dog. Yes, treats are

Hey Fam! Next week is gonna be COLD 🥶 like frigid cold! So I thought having some good indoor options for your pups might be helpful.

Training is always a great way to help them be mentally & physically stimulated. Studies have shown that positive reinforcement training is typically a dog’s preferred method of enrichment 😃👍🏻

I found this image and was super excited because I do this type of training all the time with my pups! If you try it I’d love to see!

A shout out to our dogs ...

Sometimes it’s your dog who pulls you back from the edge when life and relationships have worn you down. They have this way of grounding you, bringing you back to earth with their simple presence.
While the world spirals with complications, your dog shows you a different way of living—one that isn’t bogged down by the weight of what-ifs or past hurts. They love without hesitation, live without worrying about tomorrow, and somehow, that brings you clarity.

If only we lived more like them, we might realize that not everything has to be so heavy. They find joy in the present moment, and in their eyes, nothing is ever as dire as we make it out to be. Through their perspective, healing becomes less about overthinking and more about letting go, about being in the here and now. Maybe if we stopped taking life so seriously, the way they do, we’d feel lighter, more open, and capable of bouncing back from whatever life throws at us. They remind us to simplify, to focus on love and connection, and to let the rest fall away.

DON’T FORCE ME TO BE SOCIAL!
It may be really disappointing and frustrating when our dogs are not the social beings we expected them to be.

Many believe dogs should just naturally get along with other dogs, after all they’re the same species.

Some believe the “unsociable” dog has a behaviour problem that needs to be “fixed”.

Early, appropriately timed and correct socialisation is vitally important, but sometimes despite all of this, some dogs are just not that sociable.

Sometimes this can be improved, especially if the cause is from a negative experience, but genetics, breed tendencies, individual personalities, health and age all contribute to tolerance and sociability, which also change throughout life.

If we, as a human species, don’t get along with everyone we meet, how can we expect our dogs to?

Do we label every person that has an argument, doesn’t make friends with everyone they meet, doesn’t like every other person, prefers not to socialise - as having a problem that needs to be fixed?

Why is it so easy to accept that every individual person is different than to accept that every individual dog is different?

When we have done what we can to improve our dogs’ social skills, we need to accept and acknowledge our dogs for the individuals they are, allow and respect their choice of whether to be sociable or not and never force interactions that a dog is not comfortable with.
