Earlier this month, we put a 14"x20" Maroon EPP pad on an orbital scrubber for a demo on this long-neglected VCT floor.

The results are striking. This powerful pad quickly takes down layers of worn and damaged finish—no harsh stripping agents required. That means significant labor savings while reducing both risk for personnel and environmental impact when compared with conventional stripping pads.

Maroon EPP can be used dry or with plain water for chemical-free floor stripping or deep scrubbing. This floor preparation pad is especially well-suited for repairing acrylic or urethane finishes for recoating.

Q: My concrete floors don't need restoration. Do I have to use all the steps in the Black Diamond Cleaning & Polishing System?

A: No. Black Diamond pads are available in six different grit levels, allowing you to customize your floor care process based on the starting condition of the floor and the desired gloss level. We do recommend not skipping a grit level on your way to the gloss of your choosing.

Black Diamond 800 removes light imperfections and deep cleans for a smooth, matte surface. If desired, continue with Black Diamond 1500 for initial polishing.
