Good morning!

Pearl joined our family on 3-27-2010 and I thought you might like to know that she is celebrating her 15th birthday today😊. She is doing great and can still jump up on the tall bed, loves food, can catch treats out of the air, and we call her tail-wagger because, well she is always wagging that tail. She has been the best bedtime buddy and makes a bed next immediately after I make it 😊. As far as we know, there are no major health concerns, no medications, and she continues to live her best life. I remember the day we went to your home and she ran right to us. You told me she loved yogurt and had the dark eyes like her mom. Your daughter called her “Tulip.” My son nicknamed her the ”kissy gisser” as there is always a kiss to be had. She has been our loving and loyal companion and a great source of comfort in times of sadness.

Bronte, Valentine, Winnie, and Navarre are completing their training. They will be great companions for retirees, busy families, those who work at home, or those who work outside of the home as long as they are let out for a 1/2 hour at noon. Some of their siblings are already being spoiled in their forever homes.
They have passed the AKC CGC, are crate trained, house broken, and know about 15 commands

Cade X Nollie puppies passed the AKC CGC test at Townsend Park while it rained lightly with occasional loud thunder! The thunder didn't phase this crowd a bit. Because of the storm, we waited to get photos at home. Rumbling in the distance meant a quick set up. River's puppies are 2 days shy of 4 months old. They passed the AKC Canine Good Citiaenship test at Townsend Park this evening. They followed commands inspite of some amazing distractions such as a group of motorcycles, a car alarm going off, lots of people with dogs, etc. Thank you, Tina Case, for evaluating this sweet bunch! All pups are reserved and will go to their forever homes soon, God willing.

Cade X River pups from 3/7/24, all reserved. This morning pups practiced waiting politely on leash for breakfast, not jumping up when their food approached, and sitting quietly to earn each bite. After this exercise, we worked on walking politely at a relative heel at handler's left side and shake.
They have been socialized in Chow Hound and at Seidman Park this week. A special 'thank you' to 4Hers Lauren and Jenna for working with this group.

We get so many great emails with pictures. This picture has quite a story behind it.
Bella, on the right, was purchased from Ganderwood over 10 years ago. Cooper, on the left, just joined her yesterday in Oregon. It is an honor when families are willing to fly in and take several days to drive back home for a trained Ganderwood puppy!

CK Lilac Time Serenade at Ganderwood RA, CGC, TDI. Call name 'Lily' May 18, 2010 - April 5, 2024. She took Reserve Winners at several AKC Specialties with the renowned handler Cheri Smidtz, she also took Sweeps as a puppy.
Lily was Christiana's ever faithful 4-H dog. Christiana was 12 years old when she and Lily earned AKC Rally titles. Lily's excellent conformation continues through Sailor who also took many Reserve Winners at Specialties.
More importantly, Lily's impeccable temperament lives on through at least 7 service dogs and countless therapy dogs. Last week Lily's grandson 'Cash' went to a special girl on the east coast - see photo. Mom commented "The blood line is truly great, Cash is doing awesome, helping 'M' not only emotionally which is a huge struggle but she also hasn't had a night terror since he arrived." We thank God Lily not only blessed us, but her legacy lives on blessing others.
A special 'thank you' to 4-H leaders Pat Franckowiak, Janet Lash, Mary Ellen Ratuzny, Sharon Klomparens and others who helped Christiana and Lily learn so much and earn so many trophies.
Lily was healthy and 'young' until a few weeks ago when she started occasionally gagging and slowly lost her appetite. Today her chest x-ray showed advanced lung cancer. She is buried by the creek near Legend and Sophie and several newborn puppies. Good-bye, sweet fur friend!

These two sweet girls will be ready for guardianship homes within a few weeks. 'Nollie' black on left is 3.5 years old, crate trained, house broken, laid back and mellow. 'Bunny' yellow on the right is 2.5 years old, playful and energetic.
Both are very friendly and get along well with other dogs. We provide free boarding and pay vet care at Family Friends in Grand Rapids until they are spayed at 7 years old. For more information - [email protected]

Sweet River (Ganderwood's Peace Like River CGC) was born May 4, 2019. She will be ready to be spoiled in a guardianship home in a few weeks. She is fully house broken, wonderful house manners, great with young children, calm, sweet and obedient. She is super personable. We pay for vet care and eventual spay. The guardianship family must use Family Friends in Grand Rapids. We board our guardianship dogs for free. She would be bred once a year, possibly 2 more times at most. Once spayed, vet care is new family's responsibility. We are super selective on the right home for our guardianship fur kids. If you are willing to include her in your family and spoil her like she deserves, please contact Jane [email protected]

This 12 week old group from Brighty X Harmony worked really hard this week! We have initiated working on 'down', walking politely on leash, staying 'off', learning 'place', walking 'back' to stay out of the way, 'paws up', 'shake' and 'stay' at the gate! We have been out to Chow Hound twice this week and plan to get out to TSC and the sidewalks of Lowell today. They are a super sweet and friendly bunch. Kuddos to these fur kiddos for their hard work!
About half are reserved. Some are still available for late March/early April anticipated go home, God willing.
