Today is the start of Poison Prevention Week. Below is information regarding unsafe foods, plants, chemicals, and materials for your pets.

If you think your pet has come in contact with something toxic, call your veterinary clinic, the ASPCA Poison Control Hotline at 888-426-4435, or the Pet Poison Helpline at 800-213-6680 immediately. Timing is critical, and the more information you can provide the better! (Consultation fees may apply to these hotlines)

Yesterday and today Ada Hospital for Animals had the privilege of hosting five veterinary students from MSU College of Veterinary Medicine. They were here to observe and learn about of our clinic. We throughly enjoyed having Hope, Chelsea, Jordan, Alex and Hallie visit with us our clients and patients.

Let us honor and celebrate all the K9 units, service dogs, and therapy dogs and their handlers that have served and are currently serving. Whether it be in our local communities or in the military, we are thankful for their efforts to protect and serve.

We will be closed from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Thursday, 3/13 for a staff meeting.

During that time, if your pet needs medical attention while our office is closed for our staff meeting, please contact Animal Emergency and Specialty Hospital of Grand Rapids at 616-361-9911. They are located at 3260 Plainfield Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525.

If you need to pick up food or medication, please come during the hours that we are open. If you are needing to get a hold of us, please call and leave a message or email us at [email protected]. We will respond the soonest we can.
