Newest project!

We have to put some type of door here. The sweet angel 🐈 are jumping up on the top. We cannot go through a celling replacement again. That freezer has to be where it is. This is going to cost about $400 for what we’re looking at. I am hoping to raise this today!

Sandy girl, our longest paws dog currently, came out to stretch her legs in the play yard and do some Dog testing.

She gets walks every day but doesn’t just get to cut loose and run. She did that today! It was so amazing!

She did find with meeting other dogs but got a little overstimulated after a while.

Our goal is to get her to her forever home before November.

Please share and help us find her very own back yard.

Hey all.

This is Leroy. His foster family has a very busy month ahead of them and can’t keep Leroy for the majority of it.

We REALLY need to get him in his forever home. We could do another foster home but it would be best for him to adjust to his final home sooner rather than later. He is gaining confidence every day but is still unsure at first. He is amazing with other dogs and kids.

He absolutely cannot come back to the shelter. It would terrible for his mental health at this time while he is so vulnerable building up his confidence. I know we can find his furever.

Poor Penny and Patty were stood up today. 😭

1/2 the messages we get are “do you have any small breed puppies or small dogs”.

We have 2 right now and they are still here! 🫣

These girls got to visit with grandma and grandpa this weekend and didn’t want to go home. 😂 What kid does?

We also have 2 super friendly adult chihuahuas available for adoption. Not the scary bitey ones so many of you like. But the nice cuddly ones.

All 3 kids will be at the shelter Saturday foe meet and greets!

We also have 2 small breed adults ready for adoption. I don’t have good photos so come in to meet them!

4 month old chihuahua mixes. They are fixed, microchipped, vaccinated and up to date on prevention.

Flower is going to Maine! 🙌🙌

Her ride isn’t leaving until the end of October so just enough time for her to get spayed and all Of her vaccines.

She needs a place to hang out until then. A home that will share lots of pictures and info on her and teach her basic things.

Current projects!

Good morning. I feel like I keep talking about projects we’re raising money for but not everyone knows what I’m talking about. But this will be a fun before and after thing we can do. First, this is the storage container we got. It’s ginormous and we’re excited about it. We’re wanting to do a raised platform on one wall high and wide enough to store totes and our box fans under. High enough that we don’t have to go so low to pick up bags of food. You can see the rock pad that this will go on top of Monday. Where the doors will set is going to be a concrete pad so our carts work and we don’t fight mud. Our very first $5 Friday is paying for that ! 🫶🏼 Inside you then come to our dog food room. As you can see there isn’t a lot of space in here and it’s cramped. All of those shelves will move to the container. Some of you may not know, but we have a successful trap and release program or TNR. We’ve taken feral cats, fixed then released them outside the shelter and slowly most of them have become friendly. However, our good intentions sort of worked against us. We had a couple kitties use the tall shelves to push up in the celling and some feral kids found they rather enjoyed that space. We also had roof damage during the hail storm that caused some leaking that contributed to the down tiles. So now we’re looking for someone to come in, remove and replace all the insulation and tiles. But first we have to get the container ready so we can move the shelves out. 😵‍💫 We’re taking bids on that work now, no idea what it’s going to cost. 😩 So in the video you can see the tiles or lack there of. Now you see our storage room that started this project. This is actually the meet and greet room, and our goal in all of this is to get that back. Right now it’s stuffed with donations we haven’t had time to go through, extra supplies, foster supplies.. files. It’s really like our junk drawer. 🤷🏻‍♀️ A catch all. S

👀 all these kitties 🐈‍⬛ 😍 We have over 100, yes, one hundred, cats/ kittens in our program. All of these babies are taking applications or can go to foster to adopt homes! Don’t want to commit to forever but really want some lovin? You can foster until they are big enough to be altered and find their forever home. We supply everything needed to care for them. Ask me how. Also, don’t forget we keep kittens Petsense Ada for your convenience! Stop by and adopt!

We are absolutely blown away. Again. We are so thankful for our community and for you all for showing up in so many different ways.
